Hotel Hugo was excellent. Would stay there again for sure. I particularly enjoyed the cafe off the lobby and the roof top bar which has amazing views of the Hudson and downtown.

The hotel was very run down. Flooring in the room was coming up, and the A/C was not working. Long black hair was on the floor in the bathroom. It was just over all not a clean or good stay experience. We tried to change rooms but the manger said there were no more rooms, and we could not change to another hotel due to full occupancy in near by hotels. The manager offer a refund, but during check out, they changed and said they could not accommodate our request. Only could offer refund to the resort fee, which was not alot, but that as yet to be refunded. The photos on their website is not a real representation of the rooms or view. I would spend alittle more money and stay somewhere else, don't say at this hotel.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone! We had 4 rooms booked and it’s absolutely not worth the price ! It’s more likely 3 star hotel ! The rooms need highly update with AC and bathroom! Avoid this hotel

I’ve never been disappointed by Hotel Hugo- and I’ve stayed there at least six times for trips of 2-5 nights each time. The rooms are the perfect size, and by NYC standards are pretty spacious (especially compared to another very popular hotel a few blocks away). The room AC was blasting in the hot humid summer thank goodness, and the hotel staff are so friendly (also there’s comp cold brew which was yummy). Only negative is the food at the rooftop bar was very average.
