If you're NOT going to be one of those people who will nitpick every flaw of a room or you have some weird aversion to all the quirks of old buildings and minimal updates, this place was great! The bed and towels were clean and that's what I look for.

I was very pleased. The lady at checkin helped secure me a ground level room because of my knee disability and the fact the elevator was not working at the time. She even gave me handicap parking right outside my door. They gentleman checking me out allowed me to keep my car in the parking garage for the morning.

We did not feel safe in this area. Some folks going drugs outside building. The room was not super clean the blankets and sheets appeared to no be properly washed. The room smelled of cigarette. Carpets need to be deep cleaned.

There are cockroaches in the room, and everything is malfunctioning in the hotel, from the vending machines to the elevator. At check I, I was also given the key to another room, and I opened a room with people in it. I will never come back or use hotels.com again. However, The location is excellent, and the price is high.

There were no blankets. No coffee in the room. The shower was installed upside down and the shower floor looked like it had been covered up from mold. The outlets didn't work. The front office staff was ridiculously rude. Aside from its proximity to the Capitol there is absolutely no reason to stay at this property.

Very noisy neighbor. Complained two times to front desk, two times to security. Finally they took action at 3am. Just could not sleep whole night. Complained at front desk next day while checking out, but, representative said manager is not there so nothing can be done. Very bad experience.

The front office staff was completely wonderful, shout-out to them for being friendly, cooperative, and making the check-in and check-out process easy. But otherwise, the experience was not that great. There were a good amount of options for breakfast, but whoever was in charge of it seemed to be dictating everything from behind. You had to ask for the most basic things to be served to you, and it was frustrating. The housekeeping staff wasn't friendly at all. When we asked if they could roll their cart out of the way so we could get through the narrow hallway, they were visibly annoyed. And to top it all off, we saw cockroaches in our room, which was a big turn-off. That alone prevented us from eating breakfast at all. Once again, kudos to the front office personnel those were the highlight of the stay. But the rest of the experience definitely brought down the overall rating.

Lots of bugs, room was 79°, very dusty, hairs that weren’t mine in the bathroom, comforter was legitimately thinner than the sheet, room service came like once in 8 days, knocking on door and telling me the room was supposed to be vacant in the middle of my trip when it clearly wasn’t supposed to be and no further communication happened afterwards, breakfast only sometimes had microwaveable frozen foods and fruits and waffle batter. Elevator was broken during the majority of my stay.

i was seeking a place close to the trs building. it is within walking distance. that and its proximity to the capitol building, which is quite beautiful with its grounds and pathways, are the only positives. i drove five hours arriving 2 hours after the time i told them i would arrive. my room was not ready. they did not know how long it would be and invited me to wait in the lobby or in my truck. then she asked me about the dog i had already asked for permission to have with me and paid for in advance. i had to tell her those things before she found them on the computer. when my room was ready, i was informed i could park on the bottom 3 levels but if there was space on level 2 i could park there. there is a staircase but no elevator from the parking garage so you need to unload your car to your room before parking. i was cautioned i might need to renew the key cards to my room after one use if i chose to go out. i was told only one of two elevators was working also. the carpet in the hallway was dirty, stained, and smelled of the days when smoking was permitted. the room was as clean as it could be but the walls were stained with fingerprints, there were rusted metal items in the bathroom, and the carpet in the room was not very clean either. the ac worked well and the bed was clean and well made. i was told there was a continental breakfast, but i was in a hurry to leave the next morning and skipped it. i wish i had paid more attention to the star rating!

The hotel's set up is a bit creepy witg a lot of dark nooks and little areas. It seems very old and repairs that should be done seem to be painted over. It needs a all over renovation or rebuild. The room had a no-clean feel, especially the carpet was absolutely disgusting. Why carpet anyway? It is so gross. The bathroom's floor corners seem to get overlooked a lot. There was nothing in the sink to stop anything from falling into the drain. The employees in the reception area were helpful and friendly and it was quiet, and the location was great. But those were the only positive points I can make.

My room was in such disarray that I never let my feet touch the carpet. I always had to wear shoes around for flip-flops. The lift made a clanging noise with every door closure, making it difficult to sleep or do any work. Final straw was them blocking my door. The workers painted me in my room and did not give fair warning beforehand. I went several times to check to see if there were other rooms available as mine was full of smoke and mold. The smoke alarm was covered in a plastic bag and hair tie. The gym was shut until further notice. And the keys didn't work. It failed three times. And someone checked out of their room early because there was a bat in it. The pool was unfilled and full of trash and dirty water. I have pictures to back all of this up if you would like feel free to contact me.
