OLD TOWN ALEXANDRIA by IHG, an IHG Hotel

The pictures online are very nice but very different from the really. I call the front desk in the morning for request some items brought up to my room around 8am. They told me to come get it myself because he was the only one there and abruptly hanged up the phone. That is a fair ask, but the communication was very poor, plus 8am and only one person working?

Great hotel and location. Walkable to shops and restaurants. Wonderful restaurant in hotel.

My experience at this hotel was very pleasant until the end of my two night stay. At checkout, I asked for an email receipt but never received it. I checked my credit card the following day and realized that I was overcharged by nearly $100. I immediately called the hotel and spoke to an employee named Nigel who, after going over the charges, admitted I was overcharged. He promised to credit my account and send me an email confirming the correction. Three days later I still had not received the email. I called and spoke to Nigel again. This time he sent the confirming email while I was still on the phone with him, but after 12 days my account still has not been credited the overcharge. The overcharge and false promise is very disappointing. It’s a disheartening ending to an otherwise enjoyable stay.

Very nice hotel, conveniently located near Alexandria Old Town Waterfront. Quiet area. Friendly staff. The rooms are well equipped and in very good condition.

Amazing dog friendly hotel! Huge rooms, comfy beds, and great location. Right across from a lovely park, which was perfect for taking our pup to potty at night.

wonderful location for shopping, dining and right on the water otherwise nothing special but comfortable enough Wish there were more amenities in the bathroom Also, wasn’t crazy about $25 fee included in room charge for $15 snack/drink charge and 10% off at 3 nearby establishments

This hotel was very well located, in view of the river and easily walkable to the waterfront and all the quaint streets, shops and restaurants of Old Town. The Hummingbird restaurant was awesome - we had both breakfast and dinner there - and had lots of outdoor seating including some with water views. All the hotel staff were lovely. We'd go back in an instant!

Good location

Hotel was great! Staff was amazing. Parking was a challenge especially for $42 a night.

From parking in the garage to the front desk staff, everyone was exceptional, including the restaurant people even the cleaning ladies were very polite couldn’t have had a better experience. The hotel was phenomenal, beautiful clean, and very art deco convenient to all fun restaurants

Love this property. Every experience has been great. Spacious clean rooms with very comfortable bedding. Does not look/feel like a hotel. Quiet end of an active area / easily walkable to everything.
