Everything in this hotel was excellent, we have stayed in many hotels but the Queen's takes a pride in all areas. Our room was very clean but we had a lady tap the door to check everything was good. Never had that before. Excellent staff who are helpful and interest in their customers. Food was excellent, well cooked, using quality ingredients to perfection. As I am vegetarian I would like to see a couple more appropriate dishes on the menu.

Queens is a lovely hotel, we used to stay at 131 but got fed up with the noise from below. Old school traditional hotel ideal location for town. As far as we are concerned it ticks all the boxes. We didn’t get the opportunity to eat there but I’m sure we will on our next visit. Joe on reception was very informative and friendly.

We had a great short break at the Queen’s Hotel. Perfectly located, with decent car parking and lovely large rooms. The breakfast was excellent and the free homemade cookies were a nice touch. Overall, a great place to stay for a family getaway.

The hotel needs to round off the handles on the room doors. Mine was razor-sharp and when I checked in the door handle cut my little finger halfway up its length. Since door handles are often handled by dirty hands, they are a vector for disease and it’s just a matter of time until the hotel faces a major lawsuit. The attached photo shows the length of the cut after four days of healing.

Beautifully clean, large room, however, we stayed during the bank holiday heatwave and the air con wasn't working. A portable air con unit had been placed in the room but wasn’t enough for such a large space. Unable to open windows, so had a sleepless night due to the unbearable heat. Huge room, great shower and very comfortable bed. We also stayed for breakfast which was amazing! Beautiful hotel just a shame that we chose a boiling hot weekend to stay.

Grand Victorian hotel, showing its age a bit but full of character. Very good location in the centre of Cheltenham. Excellent restaurant for breakfast and dinner.

We never ate at the hotel it was less expensive elsewhere. Can’t complain except towels need to be renewed. Also hand soap would be nice. Room noisy in the morning because of traffic. Staff should greet customers coming in and out of hotel it’s part of your job!

While the room was large and bedding was good, the room was too warm. The heat is centrally controlled. The air conditioner could not adequately compensate. The place is old and as such floors slant and can be disorienting. Dinner menu was acceptable but not spectacular for the ambiance of the hotel.
