It isnt cheap and i dont think you get any value for your money. The food in the restaurant is good and the chef is the only highlight. Staff are slow and you wait a long time. The bar is like a low key pub. The property is in need of repair, roof tiles missing, windows are desperately needing painting. The inside of most of the hotel has been clad with that horrible plastic and made to look modern unfortunately it doesnt and most the plastic is dented and poorly fitted. In the room the colours are drab and the bathrooms are also covered in the plastic tile affect rubbish. Our shower head was flopping around on a broken bracket and the wall fixings were hanging off. Also on the second night of staying the shower drain was dry and a fould sewege stench came up into the room for hours. I had the leave the shower trickling to keep the drain filled so no back draft into the room. On notifying the staff they didnt care and gave me a slip with an email on it and told me to basically tell someone who cares. For the money i spent they dont deserve a review of any positivity. Avoid room 405. The pool is ok though.

Friendly helpful staff in restaurant & bar . Food is lovely . Garden room.spacious but matress needs replacing as you could feel the springs poking out . Wine prices in bar are far to high . Cheapest wine is £26 a bottle for mediocre wine . Overall s nice stay ..

Room was lovely and modern. Garden room with patio lovely and quiet. Downside room smelt od stale smoke even though non smoking and bathroom needed a deep clean on the bath area

Public areas are very different and very interesting. Food good. Room v v dated windows v old chair filthy and threadbare. Mattress could be quite old Room was clean. Bathroom modern and great shower.

Ample parking. Beautiful reception. Room was however very outdated and only had 1 plug socket the other side of the room where the kettle was plugged in. Room had an old furniture smell and missing carpet. Dinner was very expensive but breakfast was okay.

Very poorly explained what's in the package and when you ask a question, the employee answers you unwillingly and makes you look like an idiot. In short: We went to the hotel because of the spa treatments and the employee, Joe, couldn't tell me what was included in the package and what wasn't, and the ADDITIONAL CHARGES. There was a big misunderstanding as soon as we arrived to check in. Be careful, as the staff try to do everything they can to make you pay more - whether it's for the spa treatment or the food. The bedroom was okay, but too many dust in all amenities in the hotel. The pool, jacuzzi and sauna was nice. The only thing genuinely good in this hotel. Even so, I would never come back.

I like the quiet and private location as its relaxing .

I booked room with patio but there were just 2 chairs outside the window and very dirty place not even think to sit there. Not enough space for parking. Also charged extra for breakfast. Area on the surrounding was not that good. Not enough food places around area specifically halal

Bed was very uncomfortable

The bedroom had a small double bed not ideal when your partner is 6ft also bed. No window in the bedroom area and the window in the seqting area didnt open. Bottle of drain cleaner left on the side jacuzzi for over an hour befote removed near childrens pool.

Water pressure was very low so the shower wasnt good. Rooms were cold and draughts in dining room. Bar closed at 10pm

The double bed was very uncomfortable and hence we had a poor night's sleep as a result. The double lock on the door did not work which limited the security feel of the room. Look we stayed st this hotel when we got married which was 25 years ago. The hotel now feels tired and in need of a little tender love restoration. Sadly, such a beautiful building and setting however.

I had an overnight stay while I was in the area for business. The hotel is very nice. My room was a good size for one, and had everything I needed. The furniture is a little dated and shabby compared to the public areas of the hotel, but nothing to complain about. The pool is a good size. The gym is quite small and I imagine quite uncomfortable if too many people were using it at the same time. I did not have breakfast, but dinner in the bar was very nice.
