Marriott all-inclusive game me some mixed feelings and probably disappointed a bit. Good things first. This hotel is located about 12-15 minutes drive from the airport. The property is right on the beach with the best view. They keep the area pretty clean around and cleaning the beach from the sea weed every morning. Yes it’s wavy every day, so if you’re looking for some calm and shallow beach that is not for you.
Now about things which should be improved. The pool is too small for the number of people around. It was too crowded. It’s not possible to find any available beach chair near the beach or pool unless you wake up at 6am and reserve a few by putting towels. I booked a Caribbean king suit at the top floor which has probably the best view but the room looked pretty old and outdated. The maintenance issues wasn’t fixed even though I reported them twice.
About the food now. It has only one buffet called Casa Madre which is mostly a mexican food and the options are pretty poor for the all-inclusive resort. Polynesian grill offers a buffet breakfast but to me, the options there were poor as well. Pretty much eggs, bacon and pancakes. Maybe I’ve been in many different all-inclusive places but so far the Marriott all-inclusive has the poorest food choices. They also have 3 evening a-la-carte restaurants (italian, polynesian and japanese) which were always booked for all 6 days. Pizzas tasted weird. Mo’s burger and a Champions bar had probably the best food available.
