No air-conditioning, no fridges in the room were the only disappointing things. Restaurant was good, swimming pool very small, Gym facilities poor

I want to give a really balanced view about The Stone House Hotel. I was staying for two nights on business and I found all of the colleagues that worked there to be extremely friendly and helpful. The food served is of a high quality. I had both the breakfast and items from their Indian menu - everything was really good. The downsides are: there is no air conditioning in the hotel. I know we are in the peak of summer but the rooms were stiflingly hot - the single fan provided just wasn't able to provide any comfort. The hotel's wi-fi is woefully poor, it made trying to work really frustrating and time consuming. There were times where I had to wait 15 minutes to connect to the wifi and then the connection was unstable at best. Although the staff and the food were great, I would need to consider carefully a stay at The Stone House hotel as good wifi is essential, as is being abl to control te temperature of your room.

Lovely Hotel & Rooms, Staff Very Polite However The Rooms Were Unbareably Hot!! Even With A Fan & Room Cooler We Was On Verge Passing Out It Was Awful. NO Aircon! We Was A Party Of 3 Couples Over 3 Rooms, All Rooms Were Stupidly Hot. We Barely Slept 3hrs Due To This, Probably Ideal For Winter But Id Avoid In Any Summer Months. Such A Shame For Such A Nice Hotel

No air con in the room just a very noisy fan and a window that hardly opened meaning it was very uncomfortable to sleep in the room. Got woken up by the fire alarm going off in the hotel at around 9.30am and all had to leave the hotel, no explanation as to why it went off, just told to go back in the hotel. No offer of compensation like a later check out or anything. Staff are nice, especially the cleaners. Probably would’ve been a nice stay in the winter with no fire alarm as a wake up call.

Very nice breakfast selection

Excellent hotel. Friendly staff, quiet grounds and the kids loved the pool. Rooms and hotel were spotlessly clean and plenty of room outside for the kids to run around safely, nice little garden too but tucked away at the back.

Good location but very expensive for the quality of the hotel. Bathrooms are mouldy and rooms are generally poorly maintained. There is no ventilation in the rooms so you end up needing to open the window. It’s also very humid inside the room when it rains.

Only stayed for one night while a guest at a wedding nearby so didn’t have time to make full use of the amenities but staff were polite, helpful, hotel was clean, rooms comfortable, and breakfast good quality in a pleasantly appointed dining room

We've stayed here several times now and always enjoyed our stays. Rooms are clean and comfortable, the bar and restaurants offer a good range of food and drink and the wife particularly enjoys taking a dip in the indoor pool. Staff are friendly and efficient. Already looking forward to our next stay

Great option. Quiet, clean and staff were great. Breakfast is very lovely too. Room was a brilliant size.

The hotel left heated towel rails on during the middle of a heatwave. Two visits to reception led to provision of a useless fan. Despite complaints to management no partial or full refund was offered on the basis it was a hot weekend. This is without doubt the worst place I've stayed. Avoid unless you want to melt in the room followed by a good old fashioned dose of Management gaslighting....

Great place to relax, swimming pool,jacuzzi, garden, dinner all amazing

I only have an issue with the Spa Center that the Jacuzzi was not clean, dirty residue around water line. However the swimming pool was nice and clean and the changing rooms very nice and clean also. My room was spotless and lovely decor and clean bathroom. Very happy with it. Staff were also very nice. breakfast was very nice, freshly cooked hot breakfast alongside buffet. I would have given higher stars had all areas been clean. I would happily return to this hotel again.
