I chose the hotel amongst many options and much deliberation as j was looking for comfort annd practicality being in Athens visiting family and for work: due to weather issues back home in Boston I ended up staying extra days in total 6 nights. My stay was impeccable, the staff did everything they could to make me feel home by giving my an upgraded room, keeping me in the room when my daughter came to visit spontaneously. The roof top bar has by far the best view in Athens full stop and the personnel is so helpful and welcoming. The hotel is not after making money from me but providing an experience that is value for the money and are truly in the business of hospitality, a rarity nowadays. This was a 5 star rating and I have stayed in some of the most expensive hotels in Athens and I would recommend it over others.

Perfectly located within walking distance to many tourist attractions, restaurants, and right across the street from the National Gardens. Rooms were clean and well appointed. Breakfast exceeded expectations even though we read many other positive reviews. It's that good! The staff was very attentive and accommodating. Our only experience that wasn't fantastic was dinner at the hotel restaurant; we felt that that the food was only average but at a premium price. We would recommend this hotel to anyone who travels to Athens. 

The Amalia hotel was reasonably priced with an excellent location for exploring Athens by foot. The breakfast was extensive (and delicious) and the staff was friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel to other travelers!

Booked the Amalia for a 5 night city break with friends and all of us were very happy with my choice of hotel. The hotel is very well situated being within walking distance of various visitor attractions including the Acropolis as well as being close to numerous bars and restaurants. Rooms are perhaps a little dated but perfectly functional and comfortable. Breakfast was great, ground floor bar was good for a quick beer and the rooftop restuarant bar offers spectacular views across the city. All in a great experience and I would happily return.

Centrally located hotel next to public transport. Walkable to all the major sites. Friendly staff.

It was clean

Very helpful staff, great location. Easy to reach from the Airport via the Metro. Well placed for seeing the sites and enjoying the local shops and restaurants. Room was clean, tidy and a good size.

Breakfast is very good.
