The Decumani Hotel de Charme is jewel in old Napoli. The street may seem gritty, but don’t be put off. You are steps away from the best walking tour throughout old Napoli, and a wide array of restaurants including La Locanda Gesu Vecchio. The morning breakfast service is very friendly and caters to everyone’s taste. I have special thanks to the front desk staff, who were always friendly and helpful. A special thanks to Francesco who helped with transportation to the airport upon our departure when discovering there was a taxi strike, and not adequate time to walk the 20 minutes to utilize a bus. Many phone calls were made until the staff became the car service. Graci!

Great location

My expectations were perhaps a little too high given the rave reviews this hotel enjoys all over the web. The flair of the building and the breakfast room - and the breakfast itself - were stunning, but the furnishings in the room were dated and worn rather than antique - our wardrobe didn’t open or close and the hangers fell apart upon use. Corners were dusty. Our room (room 230) went out onto a terrace accessible to all guests so we had little privacy. On the other hand we had a terrace on which to enjoy a late night sink!

Not for everyone but we loved it. Nice to stay on a place with character, history and timeless beauty.

The hotel is located in the ally that's full of graffiti and dirty. The room is dated with no window and unclean. The bed is old and uncomfortable.

Historic

Decumani Hotel De Charme is centrally located to explore the historic center of Naples. The hotel is much bigger than it seems from the outside and our room was quite spacious - especially by European standards. The bathroom was a decent size, although the shower was small but adequate. The bed was more firm than I'm used to but after the first night I didn't even notice. The historic hall where the breakfast buffet is located is simply stunning and a beautiful place to start the day. Carlo and the other attendants at the buffet were friendly and welcoming and they made sure we had anything we needed. The buffet has a good selection of items to choose from and everything was fresh and very delicious. This was a great "base" to explore Naples from and we will definitely stay here again on our next trip.

This hotel was in a perfect location. We could walk to most desired locations. This was a girls' trip for my daughter and me. We felt safe at all times. The staff was delightful and the breakfast was a shining star to start our day!

The only thing I liked was the breakfast!! the rooms very poor, terrible beds!! very poor neighborhood full of graffiti,dirty with a lot of trash around and dark!!!
