Lovely room nice food and lovely staff

The hotel did provide a fan for the room given the heat outside however it was noisy and prevented a good night sleep

Excellent location, breakfast really good, bedding and towels spotless, pool well maintained and changing facilities were good. Drinks in the bar were expensive but quite normal in a hotel like this. Only criticism we had was our bathroom although it was clean it was dated and the washbasin was cracked.

Very noisy room due to traffic. Very poor sleep due to it being warm and needing window open. Would not want to stay on that side again

Room very nice with a balcony but no air conditioning (broken down???). It was very hot all night even though we had a fan supplied in every room. Opened the balcony door all night even though there were pigeons dropping litter outside

The hotel and food were fine. The staff were most helpful. The only downside was the size of the room and the way it was fitted out. It was more like an overnight airport hotel than a city one. No wardrobe, no drawers, just a few coat hangers on a rail and two very small shelves. Suitable for simply leaving things in a suitcase and dressing from that.

Location great, added bonus of parking at £12 per night. Good selection for breakfast although the sausages weren’t the best quality. Staff all pleasant and hotel generally clean. Very comfortable bed. Would definitely stay again.

When we went in to the room everything look ok. However, on closer inspection the place needed a good clean. The shower is one that runs off the bath taps, very out dated. When stood in the bath having a shower the bath makes a lot of noise with any movement. The windows have a lock mechanism for safety however, we woke up in the middle of the night and felt like we were in Egypt it was that hot. The bathroom needs a lot of work, new shower fitting, regrouting and the sealant is all moldy. We only noticed once we had slept in the bed (the sheets moved) but the mattress was covered and I mean covered in stains. Had we noticed it on arrival I would of asked to be moved. On the day we checked out the extractor fan was blowing out a huge amount of dust all over the toilet. Staff are very pleasant and friendly. There also wasnt much selection for breakfast and it was average. It's a shame really as this hotel is in a good location but we will not be back.

Nice stay again at The Mill Hotel & Spa for 2 nights. Great Central location for lots of bars/restaurants/shopping/bar walls and nearby North Wales coastline. Comfortable bed, a good size room but a few cobwebs in the room which surprised us as usually it's spotless. Tea & coffee + biscuits in the room plus a fan which we used to cool the room on an evening. Love the bar & staff with a good choice of beers but disappointed with the food menu in the bar & restaurant, very limited choices which wasn't this bad on previous visits. But there are plenty of eateries in the City so not inconvenienced to much. Good car parking & friendly reception team. Will stay again hoping the menus improve.

The hotel was lovely and well positioned in Chester town with parking (although you have to pay extra). Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful. The spa pool was small but adequate. You need to pick your times if you’re a keen swimmer. However there is a steam, sauna & jacuzzi. We had a room with a balcony on the 5th floor and a jacuzzi bath. Well worth the extra money. Only issue we could see was there was only 1 lift for all rooms so you could often be waiting a while. Stairs are available (but no good if you’re less able to walk) All in all we would definitely recommend this hotel

This hotel is fantastic location , great parking , good breakfast . Albeit it is quite high priced for a hired that is quite tired and the rooms need updating . A reward programme for returning guests would be good .

The hotel was such a disappointment. The hotel reception is the nicest part, the rooms, or at least the rooms we were in across the bridge were so dated and dull. It was the hottest day of the year and the only place in the hotel with air con was the reception desk. The pool and jacuzzi was nice but not worth going back for. So much better value out there.
