This garden stay near the city was a wonderful stop on our way from the Pacific Coast to the Caribbean Coast. The pool was very clean and refreshing. Inid and her trusted companion Lucy were wonderful hosts. We ended up showing up early and were not turned away. Privacy was 100% being within the gates and the entire property is one huge garden. We were also lucky enough to have the whole place to ourselves for the night. It was nice having our coffee next to the pool planning our next moves for the day and the breakfast was extremely tasty. I was not able to give a complete 5 stars only because of the property needing some maintenance, but other than that, it was one of my favorite places that we stayed. Would very much stay there again.

Perfect lush quiet garden Great breakfast

Our hostess was very warm and welcoming, the garden surrounding the rooms was the most beautiful area, full of tropical flowering plants and many varieties of birds. The patio where breakfast was served was quaint and peaceful and the pool was a perfect bonus amenity.

Host was very friendly and breakfast was great. Other than that i couldnt take a hot shower, i will say the experience was wonderful

Very beautiful property and room

Didn't realize we were in a bed and breakfast. The room is very basic, clean, the location is awkward, the people are great, the garden is absolutely stunning.

There are not enough positive words that I can say about Eden Atenas. From the moment we checked in, it was paradise. Inid (not sure the spelling) and Lucy, the chihuahua, greeted us graciously and were a pleasure. The grounds are amazingly beautiful with a very large variety of plants and trees. The birds were plentiful and gorgeous. We staying in the suite in the back and it was perfect. Would love to visit again in the future.

Eden Atenas is a wonderful place to stay. The included breakfast every morning is nothing short of incredible!!! The staff was so nice all the time and were always available to answer any questions we had about the area. Our hot water went out on day 2 but the host graciously moved us to a cabana with instant hot water. If you get the chance, upgrade to a cabana…100% worth it

While it is not walkable to town, it is a beautiful, quiet, secluded oasis with a lovely garden, spectacular birds and an incredibly warm and helpful staff who helped us order dinner to be delivered and made us one of the best breakfasts we have ever had. We were sad to leave and will definitely return!

This property is beautiful! We stayed in the cabin which is the furthest from the front gate. It involved a little bit of a trek with our luggage but was well worth it for the lovely, breezy room and the view. We saw tons of butterflies and hummingbirds as well as other birds including chachalacas, mot mots, and a toucan. Also a cute agouti! Everything was neat and clean. The mattress was the most comfortable one we had in any of the small places we stayed in Costa Rica. Breakfast was delicious. I feel like the dogs have gotten a lot of attention in other reviews so shout out to the big gray and white cat that systematically moves around among various awesome napping spots around the property and graciously accepts adoration from guests. I highly recommend asking them about getting a massage while you're there. There's a highly skilled massage therapist across the street.

Eden Atenas seemed a bit in the middle of nowhere, when we arrived in the dark - and it was very dark. But when we woke up the morning we were surrounded by the most beautiful jungle gardens, a gorgeous pool, such a kind caretaker who made a gorgeous simple breakfast where we watched hummingbirds. Eden. Just like it says. There isn't anywhere exciting to go outside the compound but inside it's a magical retreat. Someone should write a great novel there.

Stayed just one night to be close to the airport. Easy check in & comfortable room. Beautiful grounds & the nicest people served a delicious breakfast.

This was a pleasant, if basic, property with a picturesque tropical garden backdrop and views. The only issue was finding the place! There was a small circular sign mounted beside the entry gate but partially obscured by overgrown vegetation. Bigger sign please and keep it trimmed.

Our stay at Eden Atenas was short but lovely. The host was very helpful throughout the stay and especially in arranging easy private transportation from the airport. The included breakfast was delicious! We wish we could have stayed there longer.
