It was great to be in Medan. We were ill, but the very good facilities of the hotel made everything go smoothly. We even visited Medan after a day, just between the Old City, Merdeka Square, and shopping centers. Great to be there!

Sorry, I've been a long-time customer at Emerald. The beds weren't like this before; now they're as hard as sleeping on plywood. Last year when I stayed here, the beds weren't this hard. The staff said they were replaced six months ago. What a drastic drop in quality!! Time to find another hotel for your next trip, bye bye Emerald.

This hotel is very strategically located in the city center. The receptionist was very helpful in reserving our request for a Superior Connecting Room with pool and city views. It's perfect for bringing the family. Everything was fun and enjoyable. Thank you, Emerald Hotel.

Pros: Quiet, fairly luxurious, good food. Cons: TV channels are badly damaged, unable to watch anything in the two connecting rooms. Hot water is unstable. Far from culinary delights and Indo/Alfa mart.
