Stayed at the Dorsett Gold Coast with my girlfriend and we had an amazing stay. For the £130 I paid, the hotel felt like it should have cost a lot more considering how nice everything was. The room was modern, clean and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was fantastic. The staff were all friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and the location is perfect being right next to The Star Casino which made everything really convenient. The only small hiccup was during check-in where I had to show my bank statement to prove I had already paid for the room, which was a bit frustrating as it should have already shown on the system. Aside from that, everything else was excellent and I’d definitely stay again.

I only stayed there due to the proximity to the convention centre. What I didn't like was the fact the TV remote wasn't working and the shower head in the bathroom was broken.

If you’re looking for a modern, stylish stay on the Gold Coast, Dorsett Gold Coast offers a generally enjoyable experience, with a few minor hiccups along the way. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, with a sleek, contemporary feel and a touch of Gold Coast glamour. The rooms are comfortable and well laid out, Overall, it has a boutique vibe that feels fresh and inviting. The location is a standout. Being in Broadbeach and connected to The Star precinct makes it incredibly convenient — everything from restaurants to the beach is within easy walking distance. Facilities are also good, particularly the pool area, which has a relaxed, resort-style feel. It’s a great space to unwind and enjoy the atmosphere. However, there were a few minor issues that took away from the overall experience. On arrival, the room wasn’t quite up to standard, with things like a dusty window behind the blind that detracted from the presentation. The breakfast is held at the star and can quickly fill up. Service was generally friendly, but at times lacked consistency, e.g. organised a Wake up call that never came. Overall, Dorsett is a good option if you value style and location, but a little more attention to detail would elevate the experience. Rating: 3 out of 5
