Very noisy, could hear every noise coming from rooms next door. Also very busy & noisy intersection. Bed was comfy. Lighting in room strange, turn lights on they all come on, if one of you wants to sleep and the other wants to make a coffee have to turn lights on in whole room. If you stay here take earplugs. We won't be back. Too expensive.

Good location, had everything we needed. Has cafe pretty much next door and a restaurant. Close to public transport and a good area to stay in. The hotel itself is a bit old but the room was nice and a bit more modern. Perfect for our stay

It's a hotel with only the lobby intact. From the hallway leading into the room, the smell of air freshener gives me a headache, and the room is cramped. Especially old carpets are the worst. It was a hotel with good location and lobby.

The staff were very helpful and professional.

The room was extremely clean and the staff were amazing and attentive. The rooms were extremely small though, if it was a long stay it would be uncomfortable.

I would highly recommend and the best part is it's so close to everything you can walk everywhere

We stayed for 3 nights in a Superior Comfy Queen room, and unfortunately our experience was very disappointing overall. From the start, there were multiple issues in the room—the TV didn’t work on the first night, the bathroom sink was cracked, and the cup provided was dirty and clearly hadn’t been replaced after the previous guest. On the first night, our TV didn’t work. A lovely receptionist came up and tried to fix it but wasn’t able to, and advised that maintenance would need to look at it the following day. The next morning, the curtain rail then fell down. We reported this to staff and it was fixed, however drill dust was left all over the room afterwards. We raised this again with reception and were told the room would receive a deep clean the next day—but this never happened. Due to a late flight, we paid extra to use a Micro Double room for an additional night. Ironically, the bed in this room felt bigger than the queen we had originally booked. The overall cleanliness of the hotel really let it down for us. As shown in the photos, there was a thick layer of dust on the bed area, suggesting the room hadn’t been properly cleaned for quite some time. The only positives were the comfortable beds and the friendly staff, who did try to help where they could. However, due to the repeated issues and lack of cleanliness, I wouldn’t recommend staying here and would advise others to look elsewhere. I wish I had listened to the reviews before I booked.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Very clean room. Very convenient location.

The staff were very nice and helpful. However, that’s where the positives finished. The building and rooms need a deep clean and much needed maintenance. My room was so small, it felt uncomfortable to stay there. My room was only half cleaned on the second day, with a couple of towels placed on an unmade bed. No tea or milk replenished, I had to let reception know this needed attention. When I returned, a quick attempt was made, still no milk and two selection of tea bags, peppermint and lemon & ginger, which I hate. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone and will never stay there again, very disappointing!

I really enjoyed my 2 day escape. Even though my room was small, it was well organised and had everything you'd need for a small stay. Will stay again.

Veriu was clean, the staff were friendly, the bed was so comfy and the block out curtains were great. There are great places to eat close by and it is a short walk to central station.

Easy walk to George St or Oxford St buses outside for Bondi.

My experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing. The room we were given was the noisiest room I have ever slept in my life. It genuinely felt like we were sleeping outside on a busy traffic street. We asked the hotel staff to move us to a quieter room, but they were unable to resolve the issue. The cleanliness of the room was also far below acceptable standards. I am allergic to carpet mites, and I could feel symptoms as soon as I entered the room, which indicates the carpets were not properly cleaned. To make things worse, we woke up to find a cockroach running inside the room. Overall, this stay was far from comfortable, and I would not recommend this hotel based on my experience.

The room was clean but a little small. Staff were very helpful. Happy hour was great value.

The shower wasn’t warm enough, and I felt very cold.
