The room smelled terribly, window trim paint was still wet and it smelled like oil paint. When I asked for a different room, I was assured it was as nice, not even close. I had paid a premium for a large room with a view and I was offered a small dark room looking at a wall. So I kept the first room and had to air it out as best as I could. The crew was painting other rooms too. It’s very amateur of a hotel to allow a guest to check into a room with wet paint, they didn’t seem at all concerned that I was bothered by this. The room was not particularly clean, dude bunnies and hair on the bathroom floor. The shower floor wasn’t installed on a proper angle and the water flooded out.
When I booked on Expedia, the offer was for a drink per guest. They left cookies in the room and said that was the equivalent of a drink.
The breakfast was very good. This hotel is in a great location and has some positives but certainly needs to up their game.

We arrived early and intended on just leaving our bags at the hotel, to find that our room was ready hours before check in! We had also been upgraded, which was a very lovely surprise! We were on the top floor with a city view, we could see Grand Place when looking out the window. Staff at reception were very friendly and helpful, they were on hand to answer any questions that we had.
The room was lovely and clean. The bathroom was huge and water pressure to the shower was very good - best I’ve experienced in a hotel.
Location was very central, only 1 street away from Grand Place. It was very close to everything we needed.
Very impressed, would definitely recommend!

Établissement très bien placé, très très proche de la grand-place, chambre correcte et propre et personnel sympathique. Le bémol réside principalement dans le petit déjeuner qui n’est pas libre, mais établi sur la base d’un menu sans grande variété.

We were informed upon arrival that there would not be any electricity between the hours of 10pm until 2pm. We were not notified in advance to be given an option to cancel our booking. Given we were out of time to cancel without charge we either had to keep the booking or book elsewhere and lose what we paid. We opted for the latter. Travelling with a facilities Director we were too aware of the health and safety risks arising from the lack of electricity for this period of time.

Amazing location!! Right near lots of restaurants, shops, Grand Place, Central Station…. They held our luggage before/after our stay. Clean rooms with a great view of the street and A/C and heating available. Modern bathrooms. Only issue is that the doors are not soundproof - we heard other travellers coming home at 1am yelling and slamming doors. Other than that, lovely stay.

The receptionist was very friendly and helpful and when we mislaid one of our belongings in our room after we had checked out the cleaner found it for us. The room was clean and quiet. We were woken early by works in the street outside, but that’s to be expected when you stay in such a central location.
