We enjoyed our stay at the Cove Hotel. The location was ideally located. The property was clean and well stocked. We very much appreciated the laundry facilities and available detergent. We would definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay at the Cove. The staff was awesome specifically Andres. Our apartment was really clean, modern and it had everything to make our stay comfortable. The location is great! Close to Beautiful Mont Royal Park . The hotel is on a street full of restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores, and shopping. A car is not necessary because The Metro is just a couple of blocks away. We will definitely stay at the Cove Hotel again!

The location could not be beat, and the room was pretty great - especially for the price we paid. There was also absolutely no noise from the street, even on the weekend, which is surprising for older Montreal buildings. The building felt really secure as well. Despite the good stay, there were quite a few downfalls. I'd say the bed wasn't very comfy, the duvet wasn't actually put on properly, the couch could use some cushions and a blanket, and the coffee table was seconds away from collapsing. The kitchen was BARE bones - absolutely no salt and pepper, oil, or anything. All the tools were there, but we didn't even bother trying to cook anything. The communication with the front desk was pretty abysmal. We waited about 5 minutes for someone at check-in, then the rest of the time, we only saw them at the desk once - you had to call/text them otherwise. Then, at checkout, several people could not reach them and were really aggravated. They were really nice and apologetic when they did finally show up, but that doesn't undo the waiting. The messaging through Expedia was kind of a joke, too - each message was a terrible PDF you had to open. They really need to sort that process out. The whole stay was overall good, but they definitely need to sort out a few kinks to get their reviews up.

Great location, short walk to Mont Royal Metro Station. In room Wash & Dryer is great. Next door to cafe & bakery Toledo. A lot of restaurants, eateries and grocery stores. One can really walk and enjoy around here.

The staff was very nice. The hotel is in a central location not too far from public transportation. However my bed had all types of stains on the covers and sheets. Hotel staff was able to move me to another room but it was a downgrade from what I originally paid for. In addition to be doing graded they never issued me a refund for a fair difference in the rooms. I paid for 1 bedroom and ended up in a studio because of random stains on the covers that they couldn’t explain.

While property was ok, the lack of amenities was not. There was no paper towel, one toilet paper roll, and no soap. There were very few kitchen utensils so if you plan on cooking and using the place for long stays this may not be the place for you. It’s located above a wonderful bakery who does make some amazing sourdough bread. The entire area is amazing and the place is a 3 minute walk from a subway station, wonderful during heavy rain days. Overall, it’s an ok property but just recognize what you may or may not need in order to have a great stay.

The check-in process was pretty awful. First I was assigned to a room that had broken blind hence no privacy. They moved me to another room then it turned out that the check out was not complete and the room was not ready. I had to move to another room where the vent was broken and I couldn't turn it off. So for the check-in, I had to hop into three different rooms, the last one being so lousy and loud. The second day they moved me to another room on the ground level had a street view that was filled with all filthy gabages. I wouldn't recommend this property.

Positives - location, in suite laundry, welcome prosecco, texts & emails with instructions, nice shower. Negatives- no signage on outside of building. Not a hotel per se. Minimal comforts in the room. Lumpy, creaky bed, almost a futon for a matress, broken toilet seat and a/c that would not shut off. Told front desk, but never fixed. No towels, cloths for kitchen. Window screen off and propped up against wall. Would not recommend at all.

The Cove hotel is the BEST place to stay in Montreal!! It's in the heart of the Plateau, on the corner of Rue Drolet & Mont-Royal - with too many to mention restaurants, night spots, bakeries, shops & parks, and a few blocks from the main north-south Avenue Saint Laurent with even more shops & services. This was our seventh stay and we honestly wouldn't consider anywhere else in the city. The Cove is a great value!!
