The Cove Hotel

Great location, short walk to Mont Royal Metro Station. In room Wash & Dryer is great. Next door to cafe & bakery Toledo. A lot of restaurants, eateries and grocery stores. One can really walk and enjoy around here.

Excellent location, room was clean and spacious with all the amenities needed.

The staff was very nice. The hotel is in a central location not too far from public transportation. However my bed had all types of stains on the covers and sheets. Hotel staff was able to move me to another room but it was a downgrade from what I originally paid for. In addition to be doing graded they never issued me a refund for a fair difference in the rooms. I paid for 1 bedroom and ended up in a studio because of random stains on the covers that they couldn’t explain.

Clean and spacious apartment style unit. Great location near many restaurants and shops. Easy to check-in and check-out.

While property was ok, the lack of amenities was not. There was no paper towel, one toilet paper roll, and no soap. There were very few kitchen utensils so if you plan on cooking and using the place for long stays this may not be the place for you. It’s located above a wonderful bakery who does make some amazing sourdough bread. The entire area is amazing and the place is a 3 minute walk from a subway station, wonderful during heavy rain days. Overall, it’s an ok property but just recognize what you may or may not need in order to have a great stay.

The check-in process was pretty awful. First I was assigned to a room that had broken blind hence no privacy. They moved me to another room then it turned out that the check out was not complete and the room was not ready. I had to move to another room where the vent was broken and I couldn't turn it off. So for the check-in, I had to hop into three different rooms, the last one being so lousy and loud. The second day they moved me to another room on the ground level had a street view that was filled with all filthy gabages. I wouldn't recommend this property.

Positives - location, in suite laundry, welcome prosecco, texts & emails with instructions, nice shower. Negatives- no signage on outside of building. Not a hotel per se. Minimal comforts in the room. Lumpy, creaky bed, almost a futon for a matress, broken toilet seat and a/c that would not shut off. Told front desk, but never fixed. No towels, cloths for kitchen. Window screen off and propped up against wall. Would not recommend at all.

The Cove hotel is the BEST place to stay in Montreal!! It's in the heart of the Plateau, on the corner of Rue Drolet & Mont-Royal - with too many to mention restaurants, night spots, bakeries, shops & parks, and a few blocks from the main north-south Avenue Saint Laurent with even more shops & services. This was our seventh stay and we honestly wouldn't consider anywhere else in the city. The Cove is a great value!!

Clean, calm, affordable, well-maintained. Everything you might need is at walking distance. One of my best stay in a while!

A mix feeling and a bit disappointed. It was my second time at this please but the owner has changed. Pros: - the location, close to metro mont total close to restaurants, bars and the metro mont royal. - the place is clean and there is one person always available at the reception 24h/7 Cons: - the price is ok if you are minimum on the 3 floor. Best if you are on the 4th, last floor. I was in the 4th the first time, view and more quiet. BUT if you are on the floor under that you have a building in one side, 1.5m with more noise. On the ground floor, I was this time, the apartment is a lot dark inside due to the building near by. You cannot really open never the curtain due to the building. The window, there is a little parking and noisy/dirty smelling road. The issue is that the price is the same. Doesn’t matter which floor and you cannot choose. - Missing a bit more spoon.. only 3-4. Just one serving. Due to the price it needs to be a bit better furnished. Overall a bit disappointing, it’s a good place but you should take another option for similar place if you cannot choose your floor level. Unfortunately it’s a bit like gambling for now.

Everything was good specially the girl who works at reception. She is very kind and helpful. I would definitely recommend others to visit this hotel during their trip.

Wish the property sent me the info directly to my email after booking as I didn't get the code required for entry before arrival. It was sent through Expedia that necessitates a lengthy log in , which I didn't have time to check while traveling. Other than that, was very happy with the stay. Super clean, nice, and smack in the middle of the best of Plateau! With the amazing Toledo bakery right next door
