Tropicana Suite Hotel

Clean room, incredible view, kind and helpful staff

Room we stayed in had only 2 working lights Room was clean but seeing the mold on bathroom sink faucets bathtub/ shower was not cleaned properly had mildew all over the tub Rooms even have the door sign for do not disturb or make up room Was woken up by the housekeeper poinding on the door in the morning. Not respectful kept knocking until i opened door. Fixtures really need a update and better repairs done. All the repairs that were made they didnt even bother to paint over the patchwork you can clearly see maybe half dozen repairs over the years. For a hotel on robson street in downtown vancouver Ive seen nicer and cleaner rooms updated in hotels along east hasting . Not like to be a mean person but if you have guests comingnto this hotel they should have made sure all lights in the room are working. Only 2 lights work are the hallway light and the living room. Seen a few electrical fire safety hazzards that really concern me with the dated appliances. Stove oven was made in the early 1970's rust and corrosion all over it was not a good look If they actually took the time to fix everything up. Im sure it would be a great place but location is perfect but fair warning the rust and mildew outdated appliances broken lights does not make this worth staying here

Room was clean, staff was friendly. Apartment style hotel , would stay again for my trip.

Parking on site

A fantastic hotel suite on the 11th floor. I use the full kitchen to make a lovely BC salmon dinner. I’m looking forward to using the rest of the amenities in my 750 square-foot , one bedroom suite

We only stay here for night for New Year’s eve, great thing is that it cllose to shops and restaurants, you will get what you paid for, the room was big and having a great view but building were too old and having a smell, this hotel needs to be upgraded a bit. But for 1 night stay not bad for us.

It’s a great location but the heat was off for one night and most of the following day. Vancouver in November is a bit chilly.

Nice view

Room is large and good value, easy parking. Downside- you get what you pay for, building and carpets have a musty smell you have to air out on arrival.

Everything is perfect, I really enjoyed the Vancouver view at the hotel. Will be back next time.

Room was ok and good location down town

The front desk guy was awesome on our first night. Second night not so great. Then first guy back so we told him our feelings. This is NOT a 4-star hotel. But the room is a suite with a kitchen (didn’t look for cooking things, just used the glasses. Sadly the hot water boiler stopped last night so cold showers this morning. But that’s not a negative rating. So many restaurants within two blocks!!

The concierges here are all wonderful people and go above and beyond to prioritize you. The rooms are gorgeous. My favourite place to unwind.

Staff are friendly; but it would've nice to hear an apology for there being NO HEAT in the room. We had to double-up our blankets.

The hotel unit was dated but clean. It is a large apartment style suite with full kitchen, bedroom and living room. It alsi includes a small balcony. I stayed in late October and the unit was cold as the windows were drafty. Overall, the hotel is a nice budget friendly place which is close to downtown and many attractions. The furniture was dated but the price was reasonable. I would stay there again.
