Hampton Hilton York was a nice hotel to stay. It is close to York station so you don't have to wheel your luggage very far. From the hotel, you can walk to all the York attractions in the city center. The hotel also has a great breakfast.

Had a really fantastic stay at this hotel. Check-In was easy. Rooms were really really clean and the whole place just looked spotless. On top of that, very friendly staff, a fantastic breakfast and a good bar. What more could you want? I was booked into another large chain hotel but changed to this one at the last minute. I'm so glad I did. Very convenient for the station.

Excited to visit the uk for the first time, where my parents and family grew up, and served in the British forces during ww1 & ww2. We were disappointed to hear that our plans were destroyed after discovering we were missing the new required ETA document to travel to the uk. We had to cancel our trip, because the ETA document would not arrive in time. We have had already booked several hotels in London, Sunderland and York. Out of compassion, all the hotels except this one credited us for future stays with them. I had notified this hotel several days in advance about our situation, and pleading with them, they refused to give any type of credit. Very disappointing. .

This was in a convenient location close to the railway station. The room was well appointed although we missed having a fridge. The reception people were happy to refrigerate our fresh milk for our tea which was helpful. The bed was comfortable and bathroom was also nice and it was an easy walk into York for the tourist attractions. If you turn left from the hotel there is a narrow road or alley that cuts out some walking if you head into town
