London Heathrow Marriott Hotel

Stayed here on a one-night layover. Very “American style” (free standing modern building with big rooms) Marriott other than not having a free shuttle to/from airport. Uber was a little over 20GBP. Because the hotel is not on the airport grounds, You can walk around the corner for about a 1/4 mile and get a decent meal and a beer at a neighborhood pub that has indoor outdoor seating called the Pheasant. Very welcoming and avoids eating in the hotel restaurant although the hotel restaurant was not terribly expensive and looked okay. There’s also a pharmacist and grocery store around the corner the other way about 1/2 mile off if you need anything.

The receptionist that checked us in was a very cheerful, welcoming professional. She set the tone for an enjoyable stay. Looking back at my last five stays at different Marriott properties this year, this was definitely the best. As for the property itself, it has been beautifully upgraded. However, the carpeting is awful and I would draw management’s attention to it can be addressed and not remain a detractor to the otherwise beautiful facility

Top class hotel. Great location, ample parking, rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was excellent and Carliccios restaurant was also good for dinner. Gym and pool were an added bonus for a London hotel although gym equipment a little dated. Overall a faultless stay and very good value for money considering the location and amenities
