The evening meal available consisted of a vegetarian or meat three course meal presented as a buffet.I thought the quality and value for money was excellent.Staff in the restaurant were very helpful and attentive as were all other staff in the hotel. I enjoyed my stay whilst attending a conference nearby.

Absolutely stunning place, that actually used to be owned by my family member, of whom I'm the last surviving one here, and I had no idea! I knew he was a well off local businessman, who I met lots as a little one in but I lost both of my parents so didn't get to know this, plus a previous generation fallout meant Set in such a beautiful setting, and really quiet. We were here over the hot bank holiday and it was very busy, but still really quiet which we were shocked about. Room was clean and bathroom was nice, only issue is our 'double' bed was actually two twins pushed together, of different heights, so my partner and I were rather uncomfortable,

Apart from James in the bar who was so helpful and apologetic my experience was far from satisfactory. On the 1st night despite closing at 8.30 the restaurant ran out of food at 8.05. Eating at 7.15 the 2nd night I wished they had run out again. Being asked to purchase a voucher from reception before I could eat was ridiculous. There policy of not allowing anything to be charged to your room is outdated. Staying during two of the hottest days in June could account for the majority of staff being blunt and unhelpful. But basic common courtesy and some accountability for the terrible food would have been good. I would not stay again despite the low price. However externally the hotel and grounds are very nice. The two young gentleman on reception were helpful and sorted my room for the 2nd night. James on the bar went above and beyond with his service and politeness.

The room was clean and spacious, the girl on reception was cheerful, friendly and very helpful The only reason I marked the hotel down was because of the breakfast most of the items needed topping up and they had run out of bacon ( this was with still a hour still to go) also the morning staff didn’t seem very helpful The outside bar area also needs a bit of gardening maintenance The hotel setting was lovely and very convenient for the Coventry arena and very reasonable price

Hotel is lovely, lots of original features. Room was spacious and clean, however its old and tired, could do with a revamp.. Quite a few cobwebs on the ceilings and damp stains on the walls and ceiling.
