staff was very helpful, it was a great hotel as a solo traveler, only thing that was difficult was having to go up the stairs every night so if you have accessibility needs contact the staff

Location of the hotel was great with Paddington only a couple of minutes walk away and shops/pubs/restaurants very close by. The room itself was small but clean, shower was a decent size as they put the sink in the bedroom rather than tried to squeeze it in to the bathroom. Bed was a little on the small side for two people but was relatively comfortable. No tea/coffee in rooms but there was facilities provided in the public area so was still available. Some reviews complained about the trains and you do hear/feel the rumbles until about midnight but it’s really not that bad and don’t disturb. The hotel could do with making the doors close slower as there’s a lot of banging doors as they close quite heavy if you don’t hold them as they close. Other thing is the staff need to chill a little on demanding the key back when you leave the hotel as every time my partner left to go outside to smoke he was asked, even though I was still in the room and it’s obvious he was just going for a smoke. They informed us to leave the key at reception when we checked in which is fine so don’t need the constant harassment about it every time one person just pops outside for 5 mins

Excellent hotel for the price. It's so near to Paddington station that you can see it the moment you turn the corner. Only a two minute walk away. It's also only a 5-10 minute walk to Hyde Park which was perfect for morning walks. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is just off a main road so it's pretty quiet for central London. Just the steady hum of an underground train but you barely notice it after a time. Area felt very safe. My twin room was pretty simple (as I expected for the price) but the bed was comfy, the TV worked, and the bathroom was clean. Couldn't ask for more for the price. Will definitely return.

If what you are looking for is simply a place to sleep, this is just about the best value in London. It is clean and comfortable and it is literally the closest hotel to Paddington station (underground, national rail.) I stay here often and am always pleased.

I keep returning to the St. David‘s Hotels as the rooms are stylish and clean, beds are comfortable and the staff his very friendly.

Super clean hotel 5 mins walk from train station and shops. No lift so can be many stairs. quiet room, comfortable bed - would recommend

I loved the cleanliness and the professionalism from all the staff members. This place is great if you like comfort, peace of mind and a place that has peaceful energy. I can’t say enough about the staff they were all amazing and always willing to help and assist. I highly recommend St. David’s Hotel. The train is nearby and plenty of places to eat and shop.

Great stay. The staff are friend. There’s water and sparkling water in the lobby area. The room is very cozy and clean. Super convenient for transportation and a lot of food options around. It was quiet at night. You can sometimes hear the subway but that didn’t bother me.

Sometimes plans change. I had to cancel, but they wouldn't let me. They were willing to keep my money and resell the room to someone else but not return anything to me. This review does not mention room rate, profanity or personal information. It complies with the guidelines.

Location was great right by Paddington train station. I really liked the property. My room was on the small side, but I was really only there to sleep so that is all I needed. The only negative I have is the staircases up to my room. I did not mind have to climb the stairs, but some of them were very narrow and it was a bit difficult navigating them with my suitcase when I arrived and when I checked out.
