I had a one-night stay at The Cumberland in London and overall had a very pleasant experience. The location is excellent, right next to Marble Arch and Hyde Park, with easy access to Oxford Street and the Underground. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, making it perfect for a short stay. The staff were friendly, professional, and the check-in/check-out process was quick and efficient.

Central London ok, but it is a very expensive hotel for the quality of the rooms - had inside looking twin room that was very small. Two people staying in the room and only one large towel on 2 of the 3 nights we stayed there. Asked for more for the service staff but only used their initiative once. No hand soap for the duration of the stay despite asking for it. Seems a pretty simple request. Hotel shop is seriously over-priced. Can't get over how expensive this place is and that's me saying that coming from Dubai. Hells Kitchen was a ghost town every night we peeked inside. Not inspiring place to eat. Would I go back - sorry, but that's a no.

It smelt strongly of the sewer at reception. Very basic hotel room, with poor in room amenities. Poor reception staff - felt like a very budget hotel experience at check-in. Which is a shame, as I stayed here quite a few years back and it was much much better.

Large hotel at a EXCELLENT location close to a tube station. Rooms are very clean. We had the executive VIP room which was great ! Spacious and clean with a Fridge and coffee machine. Some work neede to be taken to get the vip in room experience to a higher level. VIP includes access to a vip lounge open from 9 am - 10 pm. VIP lounge includes coffee machines , soft drinks and alcohol and based on time of day various food options. It is staffed by the most wonderful ladies who were friendly and helpful. A big thank you to Navi , Ellie and pravalika for always welcoming us with a smile and for ensuring we had a great experience in the Lounge. A big thank you also to the wonderful doorman Saleh who was always helpful and nice . And thank you to Sufian Mohammad from concierge desk who there to assist when needed. It’s truly those people who made the Stay great.

If you’re visiting a concert at Hyde Park you can’t beat the location. If you’re not, don’t stay here. The lobby smelled bad, we had to wait for over twenty minutes in a queue to get our room (which wasn’t ready despite being after check in time) and then when we finally did reach our room it was small and miserable with no view and no joy. We couldn’t wait to get out of there. This place was much better when it was run as The Hard Rock Hotel and sadly they have tried to hang on to some of this appeal but in a disjointed way that just doesn’t work. Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant Hell’s Kitchen was ok but not as nice as the one in Washington and lacked ambience. We had paid extra for the club lounge access with our Executive room but the “VIP” area was so busy and tiny that we swerved this and didn’t get to benefit from it. Overall we felt ripped off and made a complaint, something we rarely ever do. The silver lining was one of the managers, Martina. She could clearly see the experience was subpar and helped rectify. If the hotel is reading this, hold on to Martina, she’s excellent.
