Mirabello Hotel

I had to book this room last minute at almost midnight upon arriving in Crete (after traveling for 20+ hours) because my other hotel reservation had been messed by a different booking platform and i couldn't get access into the building. I found this one on expedia, it had decent reviews and the price was right. the hotel clerk was extremely helpful, he was able to get me checked in quickly and showed me on a map a few areas nearby where i could find parking. the room was very basic, but it was clean and decently sized for the economy room. also, it had top sheets which i absolutely love! plus real pillows (not the ones that go flat instantly). also it has an elevator, so extra bonus points there. location was close to the harbor, the history museum, and a number of restaurants in a short walking distance.

Very clean, quiet hotel, had a good rest! Reception staff extremely polite, very friendly and helpful, felt safe and looked after. Cleaning lady also very nice, rooms seeviced daily with fresh towels, property situated very close to city centre.

This hotel was conveniently locatred in the town centre a short walk 10 minute from from the ferry port.

The Mirabello is a small family-run hotel. They work hard and with pride. Rooms are immaculate and it is in a very quiet area in old town with two excellent local-folk family tavernas just a few steps away and around the corner. A very budget friendly and safe place to stay in the heart of old town Heraklion.

We arrived at 2.45 pm and the room was not ready until 3.15 pm . The ground floor rooms are behind the bar and the reception off the staff corridor so it feels like staff experience not the hotel experience . The bathroom was super small with the sink size of the airplane washroom. The shower doors were not clean from the guest before - splashed and dirty I understand that I paid for the cheap ground floor room however the Expedia is selling Economy Twin Room - ground floor as per photo no 32 (room) and no 11 or no 20 ( bathroom ). My room looked like photo no 29 (exactly ) or no 18 ( represented as single room ). My bathroom was photo no 24 ( single room bathroom)! According to the photos I received lower standard that I paid for . When I informed the reception about the situation they told me that this is the only room on the ground floor yet in fact they were 2 rooms . Room no 2 was occupied already . So I got a room no 1 - which in photos is represented as single room . The only reason I booked the economy twin on Expedia because the room review was 10 exceptional - and since they have only 2 ground floor rooms- then it has to be next doo Expedia sells different room then Mirabello Hotel accommodates you into .I also booked it 1 month ahead so if the Mirabello hotel did not have the room Expedia offers ( it’s only one available !)then it should not proceed with booking at all or it should Offer the upgrade not the downgrade . Stay away from ground floor rooms !

The gentlemen at the front desk were great he helped us in getting a taxi from our hotel to the port in the morning when we had an early ferry and was very nice!

Location was close to eateries and a short walk to the ferry and bus. Property was clean and quiet, reception staff were able to help with location/directions. General area had a lot of graffiti which was off putting to the eye, but it also did not feel unsafe in the time we stayed so don’t let this out you off. This cannot be held against the property, it was safe with 24 hour reception.

It was a fine hotel, better than I was expecting, and the price was great. Staff was friendly and the room was clean and ready when I arrived. The only issue I had was on my last night there was a lot of traffic that kept me up most of the night, which was something I didn’t experience on the other nights I was there. If you’re staying in Heraklion and want a decent, budget friendly hotel, this one exceeds expectations

Overall a great hotel at a fair price. Suited our needs for a quick stop in Heraklion!

The room was clean, air-conditioned, and had a quite a big and comfortable bed. Great location too, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I had to check out a bit later than the regular time and was not charged extra. The bathroom was small, but that was a minor issue. Will come back if I visit Heraklion again!

My friend and I stayed here for a week — overall, it was alright. The location is definitely the highlight, very close to the city centre and within walking distance of all kinds of transport, which made getting around super easy. The room itself was decently clean, but unfortunately the towels and sheets were dirty and stained, which wasn’t great. On the plus side, the staff were friendly and helpful whenever we had questions. Decent for the price, but could use some improvements.

I would like to thank from the bottom of my heart the hotel staff who kindly and cheerfully assisted me when I was having a problem. I recommend the hotel because of the staff but also the atmosphere and the excellent location!

A little gem, tucked away in a little corner in an area that we love.... Nice nearby bars for food and drinks (Siga Siga, Beer O'clock, Peskesi....) just off the mainstream tourist trap. Recommended 🤗

The staff was amazing and so helpful! Great location to the city center. Bus stops and the port were very walkable.

The location was excellent - within walking distance to bars, restaurants and supermarkets. The sea front was very close, as were the main attractions. The room was clean and comfortable with tea and cofree making facilities provided. The staff at the front desk were excellent - helpful with directions to get where we wanted and with suggestions for restaurants. I would recommend this property without any hesitation. and easily accessible. We Venetian fortress and Morosini fountain was also

The staff are friendly and helpful, also the hotel is situated in a great location for exploring Heraklion. The sea and city are at your doorstep. Beautiful city!!

I stayed here two nights previously. This time my room was not quite so soundproof against what was happening in the street and also inside the building. The windows are double-glazed and I had to have the aircon on all night for the white noise. Otherwise it was the usual pleasant, comfortable stay.
