InterContinental Hotels BUDAPEST by IHG

Meh. Mediocre hotel and overpriced. My wife and I had a 2-night pre-cruise stay prior to a Danube river cruise. We booked a Premium Room with 1 King Bed and included Breakfasts. The bed was comfortable. The TV set did not turn on with the remote and, when I looked at the back, the power cord had been pulled out from the TV and I had to reach in to plug in it back in. There was a nespresso machine that does not have a power off switch, so the red power lighht was noticeable when sleeping. The bathroom was tiny with a high-up bathtub that was awkward and dangerous to step in/out of. There was a desk chair that was not an office-style with wheels and the legs squeaked as if they were about to break off. The breakfast was generic buffet-style and nothing to write home about. We had dinner one night and the food was dry, hard and not hot.

The Breakfast buffet was amazing: *Great food selection and they had an omelette station * Great staff * 2 Espresso / Latte machines *. A help yourself Champagne station Overall experience for breakfast 👍👍 Our location was wonderful: *. Great view of the castle and boats Especially at night *. Close to outside restaurants and downtown shops You can’t beat this hotel 👍👍

This is a nice property but it is not a 5-star as advertised to me. Parts of the property are a bit tired and our room, although spacious, had mostly empty walls, no trim or decorative treatment at all. Nice but average bathroom. On the other hand, the staff was absolutely warm, wonderful and helpful. And that location? Outstanding, just off the foot of the fantastic Chain Bridge allowed us a short over to the Castle, then up the Funicular. Overall, the room experience maybe around 3 stars, and staff & location bring it to around a 4.3. So it all depends on your priorities. Cheers and Happy Travels!

The Intercontinental Budapest's location along the bustling Pest side of the Danube River is iconic. You are able to see the elegant Buda sights, while enjoying easy access to both urban pleasantries & no cost travel to your last minute whims or destinations - a hidden gem (tho $$$) is their great buffet breakfast club level overlooking the Chainlink Bridge!

Awesome location for view and attractions. The music coming from clubs on the boats on the river were loud and disrupted our sleep. Staff and amenities were helpful and professional.

Hotel is amazing! We had a river view which is a must to enjoy the beautiful views. Breakfast was delicious with everything you could want and more. We will definitely be back. Thank you to all the staff for making our trip to Budapest a wonderful experience.

We upgraded to a river view room - the view was amazing! It was well worth the extra. Hotel is in a brilliant location for exploring the city. Breakfast was also very good. Highly recommend this hotel.

Concierge services were great. Helped us get a restaurant reservation for a large group and arrange transportation to the airport the next morning. 5 plus stars for the concierge services! Check in was not great. I checked in at the exact same time as our traveling friends - literally side by side. It was 2:51 PM. Both rooms were ready and my friends were given keys and my wife and I were told to come back at 3:00 to get keys! I honestly thought the young man was kidding. 0 stars for the young man checking us in! Room was nice and clean. Shower temperature bounced around quite a bit. Other than that it was a nice hotel in a great location.

The breakfast is very good

The rooms were clean and well appointed. We had a beautiful view of the Danube and Buda side of Budapest. The staff were helpful, kind and professional. The breakfast had everything one would need for a hearty breakfast.

The river view room was spectacular. The room a bit outdated though. The cleaning was excellent the first day, fair the next and non existent the last. I called to request immediate response since we were going out for the evening and had no clean towels. Also, would prefer an a la carte breakfast menu to be offered along with the buffet.

It was a great room, friendly and helpful staff. There was a good selection for breakfast served with a smile :-) The concierge staff were excellent with great recommendations for dinning out and seeing the best of the city.

Wonderful location, very close to the Chain Bridge and very convenient to public transportation. The staff was wonderful. My wife had a medical issue, and the hotel provided a car to and from an urgent care center at no cost to us. The rooms were clean and spacious. We would gladly stay there again if we visit Budapest

Found orange tea bag wrapper on the floor where housekeeping should have seen it.Otherwise very clean room.
