Hotel Nazionale

The Hotel location was excellent ,beautiful interior and the food at "Donatello Restaurant was exceptional! The Lasagna Bolonese was delicious! My room was beautiful,the bed was a 10 in comfort but pillow options were below average. The front desk staff was amazing! The only attention to detail that was overlooked was the bathroom window being cleaned! The view from the main area of room , Spectacular!

The hotel located in excellent area, you can walk to any historical location, super friendly staff and delicious breakfast! Highly recommended!

Small rooms but clean

I would strongly advise against staying at this hotel based on my experience, which involved major fire safety failings and extreme disruption due to a large football celebration — an event the hotel knew about but failed to warn guests in advance. The night was chaotic from start to finish. A football match celebration took place just outside the hotel, drawing large, loud crowds. Smoke bombs, shouting, singing, and loud music went on well into the night, making sleep impossible. I was shocked to learn afterwards that the hotel was aware this event would take place but gave no advance notice to guests — denying us the opportunity to make an informed decision about whether to stay. To make matters worse, the fire alarm was triggered three separate times that night. Each time, the alarm was silenced without explanation, and no staff were visible conducting checks. During the third alarm, I was on the landing with my child — and not a single staff member was present. Several rooms had doors propped open, letting external smoke enter the corridors, yet no guests were told to shut them and no evacuation was attempted. Despite raising this with the hotel afterward, management insisted protocols were followed and downplayed the seriousness of the situation. A partial refund was offered, but this doesn’t reflect the total lack of transparency, communication, or basic safety procedure. I will not return and would urge others to think twice — especially if staying with children.

We were exceptionally pleased with Hotel Nazionale. From the minute we walked in we were welcomed by the very helpful staff. The room was modern and very clean. The location is central and we walked everywhere, even over to the Colosseum area in a short amount of time. Area is safe and even safer with the police right there watching over the Italian Parliament building next door. We would definitely stay here again.

I absolutely loved this hotel. The staff was so friendly and welcoming each day. The breakfast was truly incredible with so many options and lots of seating. And our room was so comfortable. We were traveling with our 8 year old and they put us in a room That had a living area with large pull out bed and separate bed area for us. It also had a spot to make coffee or tea and sit, and a fridge with some amenities. The toilet was separated from the shower and it was just such a comfortable space for the three of us. One of the best we’ve had in Europe outside of staying in an apartment. The staff was so kind and answered any questions we had and coordinated taxis for us. The location is outstanding too. 5 min walk to Pantheon,5 min walk to Trevi, easy walk to Colleseum, and so many more wonderful shops and restaurants in the area.
