First of all the staff were excellent, we enjoyed chatting to people like renee and katja. The bar was excellent with a decent selection and a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Sitting out front with a beer was a great place to pass the time. Id have the cheese and ham toasties if you want a decent snack. The onsite vending machine was useful when coming back in the evening to get some bottled water and snacks for the room. The hotel is located in a great place to explore the centre of amsterdam and close enough to transport links for places further away such as the riejksmuseum and ajax stadium. Overall we stayed for 4 nights and didnt have anything to complain about other than church bells waking us up. Great place to stay and we are already planning another trip.

Fantastic location - a short walk from Amsterdam Central Station with many shops, restaurants and activities nearby. A great base for our excursions near and far. We made use of the wonderful breakfast and had evening drinks at the bar, both outside and in. The front desk staff was excellent - very helpful in recommending activities and working to get us special pricing. The bar staff was exceptional and made sure we were taken care of at all times. We had an issue with a heater in the room which the staff addressed immediately. The cleaning staff did a great job each day. Overall the hotel helped make our trip extra memorable!

I can only tell about my room, I guess there are better ones in the hotel . The hotel is a one-star hotel Certainly not 3 as it is shown. . The location is good, the breakfast is good, the staff is nice, that's all the good things. The room is shabby, not clean, and everything is old. There are tears around the bed. The chair is torn from the bottom. There is no safe in the room, no pencil or pen for writing. The sink is separated from the bathroom and is inside the room. I am in hotels through Expedia. This is the worst I have been to. Very disappointing

The hotel is very conveniently located. 5 mins walk from central train station and just minutes from food establishment. Room does not have AC. So it can be a bit warm during the summer months. Staff is very friendly and helpful. It is a good place to stay when visiting Amsterdam.

We had a wonderful stay. The breakfast was very good with plenty of options to start the day. The location was excellent, making it easy to explore Amsterdam and access public transportation. The accommodation was comfortable, and the staff/host was friendly and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to other travelers.

Excellent location. Close to everything. The hotel was quaint but the interiors scream for a renovation! Staff super friendly and helpful. Daily breakfast was simple but met standards. We enjoyed the restaurant (had several meals there) and the bar (one of the oldest of the city)

We actually loved everything about this hotel except the fact that the bed & pillow were lumpy. The location was great…close to Central Station & the Cruiseport. The room was clean & quiet. Breakfast was provided & good. The staff was excellent…'even walked our luggage to a taxi stand across the street! Around the corner, many ethnic restaurants.

Hotel Prins Hendrik has a great location, centrally located near Amsterdam Centraal Station. Excellent base to walk from and close to train, tram and subway. The staff, especially the front desk, were super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fresh, ample and a great plus. Their restaurant, Prince Charming, was fantastic, and the adjoining pub convenient. It is a busy location, so being on the 2nd floor could be noisy at times, but we would definitely book our next stay there.

Hotel is old. Very steep stairs. Virtually no amenities in room. Limited storage for belongings. Room maintenance is poor, bed not properly made, surfaces of tables not cleaned or wiped.for 5 days. Breakfast was plentiful. Front office staff extremely friendly and helpful.

While the hotel was no smoking, there were tables outside the entrance for the nearby pub. Walking into the hotel, you had to go through people actively smoking. At night, there was noise from the street, disrupting my sleep. A problem could have been the location of our room, which was on the second floor and at the front of the hotel.
