Citybox Oslo

The check in is a digital self check in and check out and is very easy and seamless. I quite enjoyed the stay and had booked a family room that I did not know had a great view of the city. That was a great bonus. I also liked the design of the lobby :)

Clean and had the basics. Good place to stay.

So I paid for the hotel three months before My arrival then they charged me again leaving me hundred of dollars short on my vacation and said refund will take a few days Staff sit in office sat and stared at all the people in the lobby trying to check in and the computer said they would be right with us as they just sat and did nothing would not recommend

A short walk from the station and the shops

Great location, close to everything and walkable to all major attractions. Room is on the spacious side compared to the other hotels on my trip. Super useful to have a kitchen with microwave as food in oslo can be expensive. The only downside is that the shower and sink drain super slow. You can't shower for more than a couple of minutes or else you are flooding the shower.

Double bedroom very small, bathroom even smaller. Holes in the wall, dirty air conditioning unit. Soundproofing poor - trams trundling up and down till late at night and very early in the morning

Was alright staff were helpful sorting out a refund, as got charged twice.

This hotel is great, very close to central station, only 5-6 minutes walk, clean and security, but room is so little space.

The room was clean and tidy. The location is perfect.

The water was water logging in the shower area. The heater was not effective enough to keep the room warm through the night. The mats in the room were a little dirty. Overall I would have liked the hotel management to give a little care on these smaller things.

Good location. Close to train station and tram stop. Spacious common area with kitchenette.

Excellent place to stay. Convenient and accessible.

Helpful staff. Allowed us to come in early. No problem.

Room is very truly clean. Location is 6 minutes from Oslo Central station... Easy for food. Wifi is fast at lobby area but not in the room

Simple but clean rooms, spacious lobby with kitchen, relaxing areas and close to the central station. There's access to two restaurants from the lobby, somewhat expensive but so is everything in Oslo.

Booked a small double - room was ok, fairly spacious for what we had booked. Good bathroom, nice seat and desk area. Had no shelves, but did have hangers and hooks to hang things up. Bed was comfy, we were on top floor so the sloped roof over the bed made it hard to navigate the space We did find the room a little dusty, and by our last night had sore throats from being in the room but also didn’t flag this to staff at the time as it was late at night, so they may have been able to move us if we had flagged! There were some marks on the walls that looked like drips, we think from cleaning supplies! Both minor issues that we didn’t flag at the property as it wasn’t enough for us to want to move room. Property is in a great location, and not noisy at all considering the central location. Had a great kitchen area with coffee machine, and disposable cups/plates/cutlery.

I' ve never a bad review before - I have worked in hospitality and retail for many years so I know how tough it is. This hotel benefits from an excellent location in the centre of Oslo. I also observed some brilliant service by some of the employees to other guests in the 'Host Office' - but that's where the good stuff ends. Check in was a disaster. The self serve machines eventually recognised my booking from my phone number (it rejected my passport and email). The machine told me my room wasn't ready and to see a 'Host'. The lady who 'helped' me on the desk looked at me like something she had trod in and was stuck to her shoe when I explained what was happening on the machine. 'ID' she barked. After swiping my passport and huffing abit, she put my passport on desk with two key cards and barked '316'. And that was it. No explanation of where to go, no confirmation of stay length,nothing about facilities - just '316'! As for room 316, if you like bare walls, lots of external noise, broken temperature controls, no safe, nothing to drink out of, mouldy bathroom ceiling,leaking shower,broken shower fittings - you will love this room. I expected minimal budget accomodation when I booked to stay - but cheap isn't always cheerful! I have cancelled forthcoming Citybox stays elsewhere not because of the room, but because of the behaviour of that one person in the 'Host Office' . Such a shame.
