I liked their games, beer tasting

I only stayed for one night in room at fourth floor and everything was super. All of the staff was very polite, helpful and cheerful. Breakfast was very good. I will definately come back to stay there when I will be back to Edinburgh.

It was a nice facility.. Clean n comfortable. Stay was great as it's in the middle of the royal mile where all the actions takes place.

Really enjoyed the stay! I do plan to come back. Friendly staff, comfy pods, great location, and I felt safe.

OMG! It was not good, the hotel services were slow and terrible. First day of check in there was no soap to wash hands or take a shower. After a hour someone just hanged you a big bottle soap because she don’t know how to refill. We had to asked bath towels everyday at the front desk. The front desk only check in people & no customer service. We had to open a window to sleep & the room was smelly & was very noisy from outside This place basically for young people stay for a night or two. In my opinion, this place not for a couple to stay. The room we had was not clean & the bathroom was very small after paid $1310 for 5 nights. We are very disappointed it.

Amazing people

The staff were very welcoming with a quick check in and gave us some pointers for the evening Accommodation was central with mostly souvenir shops around Clean towels and we’d booked the breakfast which we choose a large bowlful of porridge. We had an eleven oclock check out but was woke up with folk chatting at 6.25am outside our window which was at street level then house keeping vacuuming at 7.20am

This was my 1st time at a hostel and it won't be my last. This place is super convenient to everything. Its right in the center of the Royal mile. The rooms are super clean and quiet. I felt safe at all times. The staff here are the real stars! Offering great suggestions and fun chats af the restaurant/bar. They even offer a free walking tour daily and beer tastings. Dont miss the live music and the whiskey tasting jn the Lost Clise downstairs is totally worth it. The bathrooms were kept spotless and they even have laundry facilities with washer AND dryer! Super comfy pods feel very spacious. Larger than I imagined.

A beautiful room. An amazing location. Restaurant was great but very patchy on service. At busy times, it can take long or even forgotten.

I did not like that. There was no common area outside of their own bar to actually be able to sit and do anything without having to pay the bar. A little more information on where to find towels would’ve been helpful as well. There was not enough space to be able to sort through your luggage without disturbing anyone in your actual dorm room. One little repacking table outside the doors is not enough for the amount of people. They should also put it in their rules that perfumes and hairspray should not be sprayed in the dormitory rooms.. The pod and shower facilities were perfectly fine. My consensus is I would not stay here again.

Clean room and very nice staff

I don’t feel like this place is good value for the money. Yes it’s in a great location, but that’s about all I liked about it. The rooms were not as they appear on the website photos. I stayed in the 10 bed female dorm. It was pretty bleak—which bothers me because I decided to pay more to stay here based on how I thought it would look. Nothing is included except for a bed, hand soap and toilet paper. Everything is an extra. Coffee is pricey, towels are extra. No hand towels or anything extra in the bathrooms like q-tips or tissue. No kitchen or common area so you can’t even really relax in there except for in your bed. The only common area is a restaurant. The room acoustics are not great. You hear literally everything. Every time a person in the room rolls over, scratches themself, zips a zipper, sneezes, turns the page of their book, etc. Staff were young and unprofessional. I had a horrible interaction when checking in. I was tired, and the young guy made a joke and asked if he could have my heart—super unwarranted and unwanted. I told him I was very tired and he said I looked like I didn’t want to be in Edinburgh. He didn’t explain how the locker locks worked, didn’t show me where my room was or explain the wifi. Just bad jokes. Left a bad taste in my mouth.

What an awesome place to stay! Right on the Royal Mile. We had a private room and a shared bathroom. Both were clean and updated

The location is perfect for sightseeing. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. However, the bathrooms aren't kept clean after dark, so you'll wake up to dirty bathrooms. If you, like me, are bothered by snoring, I don't recommend shared rooms.

Great location, plenty of dining choices and close to tours and walking distance to the Edinburgh Castle. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Great activities to meet others. The room was too small for 2 people, outside noise all night (not within the accommodation building). There is no quiet space to go to and the common area is a restaurant. Worst hot chocolate I have ever had and I have them a lot.

Excellent, friendly staff. Clean rooms. Lots of fun activities in the common room.
