We only stayed one night and chose the hotel mainly because of its probity to the train station (literally next door). But very happy that we did because the hotel is in a beautiful old building right on the historic George Square and within easy walking distance of interesting shops and eateries. Staff very friendly and professional.

Very central hotel right next to Glasgow Queen Street Station and close to cafes and eateries - which makes up for not serving dinner. The buffet breakfast was very good. I would stay here again

Disappointing is the one-word summary… I will however go into detail. I’m guessing that the name millennium comes from the last time the rooms were refreshed. The ‘office’ chair that was in the room was very threadbare, this wasn’t the biggest problem with the chair, if I put the chair behind the desk there isn’t enough space to move around the bed.
While on the subject of space, the toilet is so close to the wall, where the toilet roll holder was mounted meant that you couldn’t sit square on the seat. The shower was a mixer tap setup over the bath, I can’t remember the last time I saw this in a hotel. One positive was the bed was comfortable with a good selection of pillows. However, I was woken early every day as the sun streamed around the curtains, not much point in having blackout curtains if they don’t fit the window. The lift buttons are held together with cable ties, another sign of poor / incorrect maintenance. I can’t give a full review of the breakfast because after looking at the offerings I decided to eat elsewhere. Also not helped by the fact that the pancake machine was broken.

Lovely staff and a nice bar area. My room was very large which I appreciated. Unfortunately the rooms desperately need som TLC. While there are no major areas of damage or deterioration, all the fixtures and fittings are incredibly old. And I don’t mean ‘traditional’, just old!

I was only here for a very quick overnight, but staff was kind to make up a very early morning takeaway breakfast for me. Staff also gave lots of tips for what to do in my quick visit to Glasgow. Rooms and hallways are a bit dated and could use some upgrades, but clean. Water for bath was not terribly hot. But, incredibly convenient location as it is RIGHT next to the train station. All in all, a good choice for the price.

The hotel is run down. We got offered a free upgrade which I thought amazing. The chair in room was ripped to pieces. Cracks in wall damp on ceiling. Then the shower room was like 1950s but the seat was cracked in too I cut my leg. This was all just as we were rushing to get out called reception see if I can get the lid replaced. They can’t did offer a room switch but we had unpacked and about to leave. Do not book here

A grand-style hotel that probably had seen better days but kept its character, - at the same price as the souless Premier Inn and so much nicer. Convieniant central location with good bus amd train connections. Going the extra mile with a great buffet breakfast, hot and cold food, fruit, mini pancakes with a press of a button (freshly made by a machine) and good coffee. Highly recommend the place.
