This small hotel is in a great spot in the heart of Madrid, within walking distance of many shopping, dining and cultural attractions. The bed and bath are high quality. Travelers with heavy luggage or cardiovascular issues should beware that all rooms require climbing a significant number of stairs, the lowest being on the second floor (third to Americans). There is considerable street noise; although we found it atmospheric, others might want a quieter environment. The room could be improved considerably by two small additions: small tables next to the bed and a rack for towels in the bath. Overall, a good and convenient place to stay.

This property was great for location. Everywhere we went was either walkable or a 1 minute walk from the metro. The host was very responsive, especially with difficulties during check-in. Whenever I had various questions about transportation, restaurants, or sight-seeing, the host supplied us with information. I only had 3 issues with the property. The first was walking up 10 flights of stairs everyday, especially the first day with luggage. Our room was on the 5th floor. Consider the no elevator listed in the property details when booking. 2: You can’t flush toilet paper/paper towels in the toilet. Upon googling this, it seems to be a common thing in Spain. However, other places we visited like restaurants in the area didn’t have this rule. 3: The previous issues were very minor. However, this issue is the reason I leave a 3-star review instead of 5. There was a constant banging noise through the wall from 8/9AM - 1PM. It woke me up several times, making me extremely tired on what was supposed to be a relaxing vacation. (If you plan on getting up before 8AM, I don’t think it’ll be a problem). I mentioned it to the Host, and they responded right away saying they would check on it. However, that doesn’t change the fact that the noise was very disruptive to our vacation. If this is a normal occurrence, it wasn’t mentioned in property details when booking. But overall, I really enjoyed my stay and the responsiveness of the host, and the ease of check in was very pleasing.

WATCH OUT: AMENITIES DO NOT MATCH THE ROOM DESCRIPTION AT ALL!!! Location is great and place was clean but it doesn’t correspond at all with what I booked: a double comfort room with queen size bed and I got a twin bed in a room I could touch both walls by stretching a little - clearly couldn’t have accommodated a full size or queen size bed! Free WiFi was non existant (no WiFi). It was such a mismatch between what was advertised and reality that I didn’t even try to resolve with the agent, as I only had one night there and didn’t want to waste time on it.

La habitación olía mal, pésima atención no vimos la habitación hasta que entramos quisimos cancelar y no nos dejaron hasta el día siguiente, lo sillones como despintados olía a cigarro y como frijoles quemados horrible

La verdad es que nos desilusionó mucho el estado del lugar. Mi madre tiene 80 años y estábamos en una tercera planta sin ascensor. Nunca pensamos que no hubiera ascensor y subir y bajar las maletas fue horrible. Tampoco estaban las ventanas insonorizadas por lo que si prestábamos atención, podíamos incluso saber de lo que hablaban los que estaban sentados en la terraza que estaba debajo de la ventana (no me quiero ni imaginar cómo era dormir en la primera planta!). Mi hermano es arquitecto, es muy sencillo incluir un ascensor en ese edificio. Con el precio que cobran, no entiendo el estado del edificio.

This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. I was told at the last minute that the check-in method was online, so it took a long time. The bathroom was clogged and there was no hot water in the shower. I requested an improvement, but they didn't do anything. I really want a refund, and I want the hotel to downgrade.

La experiencia ha sido horrible No habia ropa para cama suficiente, aire estropeado, sucio. Tuvimos que irnos a otro hotel Enviaron un tecnico y no pudo arreglarlo. Nefasto Vergüenza absoluta. Espero que se hagan cargo de todo
