Hotel Alphubel Zermatt

so glad i picked this hotel instead of one that might have given me a great mountain view. it was close enough to the train station that i didn't have to schlep my luggage too far; because from the train station, everything goes uphill. sure it's downhill when you leave but usually that's in the morning when you are fresh and full of energy. arriving in the afternoon has already kept you busy & not looking for an uphill trog. plus in the early morning you can see the goats walking down the street, & they are too cute to miss. the reception is in a different hotel called hotel simi, which is just across the plaza which is the only reason i didn't rave about staff. i didn't see any. however the room was clean and comfortable. i arrived on a very hot day after a long list of activities and was disappointed there was no A/C or refrigerator; but towards the evening the room had cooled down enough that sleeping was fine, as long as i kept the patio door open. the breakfast was stellar, many offerings; otherwise no vending but there is a bar in hotel simi. everything in zermatt is convenient and this hotel is right in the middle of it all.

A basic hotel in a very convenient location in Zermatt. Tucked away from the main street. Many restaurants nearby. Room is basic of adequate size. Nice balcony , but adjacent to others so limited privacy. Breakfast was good with standard options. Dior at front desk was kind, friendly and accommodating. A credit to the hotel. A great, low cost option in central Zermatt.

Excelente ubicacion. Es bastante espaciosa,tiene muy buena vista. El desayuno muy bueno. De verdad que nos gusto mucho y dormimos muy bien.Las camas muy comodas Gracias por la estancia
