Hotel Du Nord

I saw some negative reviews about this place and I have to say I didn't experience any of them really. The staff was welcoming (not overly friendly but certainly not rude), the location is unbeatable, the breakfast buffet was one of the more robust spreads i've seen in a hotel outside the US, and the hotel was spotless. Our room was larger than we expected and very well appointed. I only have two low-lights: 1) There was no AC which meant the rooms can get hot. Most of the year this is no problem but during our stay it wasn't very comfortable. 2) Due to the lack of AC we opened the windows which let in plenty of cool night air. Unfortunately there is a family of cows across the street with bells on that were active all night (cute problem I know). We named the main cow Meribell and although she was awesome, her bells made it hard to sleep without earplugs. Overall i'd definitely stay here again, despite the lack of sleep.

Clean, modern, excellent location easy near the OST station. Breakfast was great lovely buffet with hot and cold options. Even had chocolate bunny on Easter Sunday!! Would stay again. Tea/coffee in room, bathroom clean. Room was large and very nicely decorated. Staff friendly, Bar was great too.

Hotel Du Nord was a fabulous hotel. The rooms were beautiful and the view was amazing. It was clean, the staff was so kind and accommodating, the breakfast was delicious and well done every morning. The location of the hotel was ideal and made it very convenient to explore Switzerland. I highly recommend this hotel.

It was okay. Good location with parking and decent room. However, no AC and cleaners never refilled the soap. In addition, our flight was cancelled and rescheduled to the following day and the hotel still charged us. Unfortunately they weren’t understanding and didn’t work with us considering the cancellation, the situation didn’t sit right with me

There was a roach in the room!!! I couldn’t sleeep all night and it was soo hot! Horrible stay

The only good thing about this hotel was the location. We had a death in the family and tried to cancel but they wouldn’t let us. things got rearranged and we decided to come and stay so we didn’t waste money. Upon our arrival they knew it was our honeymoon. We showed up to walk into a room that felt like 100 degrees. The room was so tiny, furniture was dinged up and dirty, found 2 bugs crawling up the wall and our balcony over looked the roof covered in weeds. They then managed to charge us for another room since it was a slight upgrade. We were getting ready for dinner and on a time crunch and staff knocked on our door and had to come in because my husband took a shower and there was flooding beneath us. I will say the second room was nicer however for the price we paid per night this was frankly all unacceptable. Some compensation should have been offered. Really disappointed I took the last 2 nights of my honeymoon to stay here.

Large bedroom and nicely updated bathroom. The only downfall is the hotel has no air conditioning. There are fans and the windows do open but in the depth of summer it probably can get very warm. The staff at this hotel was amazing and so very helpful with filling all of our requests. I would book there again but only in the winter, spring or fall.

Very convenient location, beautiful hotel with helpful staff.

The breakfast was a great addition and delicious. Our room had a small balcony so we allowed lots of fresh air in and could hear the beautiful church bells ringing.
