Ruby Mimi Zurich

Room was spacious and well maintained except for AC which didn’t seem to cool the room much. Staff was courteous and breakfast had variety options. It’s an excellent location as it’s close to main train station, restaurants and shops.

La amabilidad que no son éticamente amables cuando uno llega la manera de hablar el trato creo que tuve un mal día, pero no creo que tenga la culpando demás clientes que vamos llegando al hotel parque a veces tengan un tono fuerte o de amabilidad muy fría, atender a uno como persona en su llegada al hotel pero bueno entiendo que no todo el día son buenos y son perfectos. Espero que ellos chicos tengan en el futuro unos días más buenos para que sean amables con su gente y sus clientes. Que tengan buen día. ☀️

I had paid extra for a Cosy room because of the comfortable chairs and additional space on the pictures. The actual room looked more like their smallest room. When I checked with the receptionist, she confirmed that ours was a Cosy room. If that was indeed the case, I would not have paid extra for it. I complained to Expedia afterwards which handled it well. The location is good and breakfast nice.

The hotel is in a great location and very clean. Staff were very helpful in arranging a late check out ( when our flight home was delayed by more than five hours) at a cost of 70CHF. We got a free upgrade on check in which was lovely. Our room was very compact but with a comfy queen size bed. The shower is glass to the bedroom area ( with privacy curtains if wanted) and accessed via a very small toilet area with the wash hand basin located outside the toilet area in the main room walkway. The shower leaked into the toilet area ( under the door) when used and we had to mop this up with hand towels which was a nuisance . I didn’t really like the set up fir the toilet/ sink / shower snd would have preferred a more traditional bathroom layout .

The hotel was very nice, the staff were super. The air conditioning was a bit anemic. The location is awesome. We would book again.

Love it

Building and room was very nice, well equipped. Self serve check in was a little awkward but not a huge issue. Unless I missed it, it would be nice to be able to have that info needed provided ahead of time to save time. Overall a great hotel.

Hotel was in a great location right next to the train station and shopping. Clean and movie theater was cool

It is just okay not bad not good

Perfect location for our trip. Very close to the train and walkable area for sightseeing, shopping and dining. This was such a nice comfortable stay. Loved the movie theater. Cocktail lounge was fun and interesting. Small but functional room. Quiet for being in the city.

Air conditioning barely kept the room cool on a mild day. I wouldn't want to be in it on a hot day.Room windows did open to let in a cool breeze at night.

Centrally located, near the airport and train station. Minutes from old town, restaurants and mayor shopping street.

This is great and modern hotel in the best location in Zurich.

Expedia markets this hotel as 4-star. It’s indeed a “0” star hotel. It has no support staff, no phones and no one to call when you need help. The only “live” person is someone at a check-in counter at the bar. Before we went to bed, we needed help with the AC controller. I tried to no avail to call the listed number, but no one picks up that phone. Instead, I had to get dressed, walk down to the bar, where I was met by a defensive hotel employee who declared that this is a “0” start hotel and that there is no support staff or no one to call… and added it’s not the hotel’s fault that Expedia promotes it as 4-star. She did eventually come up to our room and help With the AC. In general, the hotel and rooms are nice, but the rate is pricey for a no staff hotel. (I did not even know that exists). And shame on Expedia for misleading marketing.

This hotel made the very odd decision to not have phones in the rooms, and to not even have a single one on each floor, by the elevator for example. The guest must therefore go down to the lobby for any request or question. I had to take the elevator down in my pajamas at one in the morning to ask how to turn the overhead lights off so we could sleep. This would seem like an obvious thing to figure out. It wasn't, as even the desk manager acknowledged as he rode up the elevator with me. He was perplexed why other guests had had the same question. I mentioned how odd and inconvenient it was that the hotel didn't have a phone in the room so I could have simply called down. He responded that it was a "concept" of the hotel to not disturb guests, and that most guests appreciated this. When was the last time a hotel phone rang at an inopportune time and bothered you? My answer is never. How's this for a "concept:" put your guests' safety and convenience first. And label your light switches if they're not intuitive. The manager pointed to four of them I asked about and said, "oh ignore those. They don't do anything." Note that the hotel has only queen beds which can't be separated. If someone needs their own bed this is not the hotel for you. The room was very clean, nicely decorated, and was recently updated. Breakfast was very good, and coffee drinks were made fresh at the bar for each person. Hotel is centrally located and it's an easy walk to sight-see.

Great location and super nice

Ruby Mimi is really well situated in the main shopping area and a short walk from the main strain station. There is an excellent restaurant in same building as the hotel and guests get a 10% Discount. Breakfast was good although not included in our stay - 30 Swiss Frances per person.

There is air conditioning but does not cool the room enough and no ice machine. The room was cleaned daily which is really good. If needing to check-in early, hotel needs to be informed in advance; otherwise, hotel will not accommodate the request per my experience.

The property was an old cinema before becoming a hotel. It is very quirky and the cinema room on floor 1 for guests is a nice incentive. Overall the position of the hotel is excellent right in the centre of Zurich. Shops restaurants Old Town are all 5 mins away. The only negative of the hotel is the breakfast they need to change the menu daily as the same offering is served everyday which can become boring to eat.

Ruby Mimi was a perfect hotel for us. We were able to stay right next to the train station and easy walking around. The hotel was clean, with lots of amenities. I would recommend this property and would be happy to stay here again.
