Laurel Villa

Wonderful stay in a great location. I especially enjoyed the sunrise bicycle ride.

Great location and clean and recently renovated small hotel.

The owner, family, and staff are very kind. The place is lovely, and the breakfast is yummy. The Moon Lake area has a fantastic view! I will be back with family and friends.

The host is very nice and the room is spacious with good quality amenity.

Modern facade and decor and condition like new. Easily accessible by the tour bus and just opposite the shuishe pier.

The B and B is well located. There is lots to like but it just was not for us. Location is great. Feels very safe and owner was friendly. Pros Great location Very clean Cons Very very small room. Air conditioning is not great Too many rules for us, including only allowed to drink water in your rooms. We had no sleep on night two - not the owners fault but a couple were arguing throughout the night and the lack of soundroofing kept us awake.

Lovely hotel just around the corner from Shuishe bus stop. Close to pier, restaurants, 7-11, Family Mart. Elevator, nice shower, plenty of plugs and USB chargers, great breakfast. The complimentary tea in the rooms was AMAZING!! staff were very friendly, helpful and spoke great English.

Very nice small B&B hotel with superb location and friendly staff. Breakfast is excellent, freshly prepared and comes with nice variety of items. I will definitely stay here again when visiting SML again.

We had a wonderful stay at Laurel Villa that was made all the better with an incredible morning bike tour. The room was spacious and clean, with two comfortable twin beds. The bathroom feels very modern, with a nice, wide shower stall. I love the sitting area right by the beds. It really invites guests to feel at home. Also, parking is included, and the process was easy to navigate. The best part was the staff were really nice and responsive. They answered all our questions. We were also excited to learn that the owner of Laurel Villa likes to do morning bike tours, so we eagerly signed up. It was so worth it! Even though the morning was cloudy and the views not so great, our tour guide (the owner of Laurel Villa) was amazing. He was super informative and answered all our questions, showed us the best places to take pictures, and really shared with us his passion for Sun Moon Lake. It made the overall experience that much better, and when we got back to the hotel, we helped ourselves to the delicious, included breakfast.

Great stay and host. Conveniently located on a market street next to the ferry.

The property was clean and the service was good. We arrived late due to heavy traffic. The staff waited for us to check in to the property. She even directed our driver where to park the vehicle and recommended him where to stay. She also directed my friend where to do her laundry. The only negative point is the room has no safe deposit box and no ‘do not disturb’ sign.

I appreciated having an oasis in the busy part of town. The owners were very helpful and available. The room was clean and nicely decorated.

Great location, close to Sun Moon Lake and the bus stop. Spacious room and bathroom. Reasonable price with breakfast included.

The whole place was very quiet, the bathroom was exceptionally clean as well as the rest of the property. The included breakfast is local food, mostly vegetarian. We like this but if you have to have cereal or other western food this isn't the place for you. Parking is easy too, something that is not common in Taiwan, especially in resort areas.

What an amazing place! The Laurel Villa was so convenient, and so beautiful and comfortable. We loved our room, and the breakfast was delicious. The bike tour with Wayne was the high light of our stay. It is obvious he loves Sun moon Lake, and all of the stories were so interestiing. We wished we had booked another nigh.
