We were glad we booked this tour. It’s easier to navigate around and the tickets are settled by the tour guide. she tried her best to communicate with us in English. The boat ride was relaxing that we almost feel sleepy and love to be around nature.

[Note] Departure dates: March 10th, 26th, 28th, 29th; April 1st, 8th, 9th, 11th, 12th, 16th, 19th, 23rd. Due to the Arashiyama train departure schedule (Sagano No. 5/Saga Station departs at 11:02 am and arrives at Kameoka Station at 11:25 am), the meeting time will be changed to 10:50 am with departure at 10:55 am, postponing the entire itinerary by one hour

Meet inside Saga Torokko Station (meet at 9:50 am/depart at 9:55 am)

•

10:02 am: Ride Enjoy a picturesque journey aboard the Sagano Romantic Train through Arashiyama (25 minutes)

10:25 am Arrive at Kameoka Torokko Station and walk to the Kyobasha carriage location

•

10:35 am: Ride the carriage to the boarding location of the cruise

•

[Note] On 3/21, 3/27, and 5/9 the carriage service is closed and a shuttle bus will be arranged to reach the Hozu River Cruise boarding location. As the Kyoto Horse Carriage fee has been deducted from the tour fee, so no refunds will be given

Itinerary

9:50 am: Meet inside Saga Torokko Station of Sagano Romantic Train

9:55 am: Ride Sagano Romantic Train from Saga Station at 10:02 am, arrive at Kameoka Torokko Station at 10:25 am

10:25 am: Arrive at Kameoka Torokko Station and walk to the Kyobasha carriage location

10:35 am: Ride Kyobasha carriage to the boarding location of the cruise

11:00 am: Hozugawa River Cruise (est. boarding time: 11:00–11:30 am; cruise duration: 90–110 minutes)

12:30 pm–1:30 pm: Tour ends at Togetsukyo Bridge

Sagano Romantic Train One-way Ticket packages only include Sagano Romantic Train one-way ticket of a specific time, not the Kyobasha carriage and Hozugawa River Cruise.

You Should Also Know This

A minimum of 6 people are required to book a tour. If the total number of travelers does not match the minimum requirement for this trip, the tour will be canceled and you will receive a notification e-mail 4 days (s) prior to departure.

In the event of a change in itinerary or cancellation due to traffic, weather, or any other unforeseen circumstances, travelers will be informed 1 day(s) (at 18:00 local time) prior to departure by e-mail.

Please arrive at designated location 10 minutes prior to departure, as tour will depart on time.

Please keep in mind that this tour is primarily in Japanese and/or Chinese. The tour guide may give a brief introduction in English and will do their best to address concerns of English-speaking guests.

Admission ticket is not included for travelers under age 3 and is required to be purchase on-site.

The Arashiyama train is for group reservations, and carriages and seats cannot be designated. Since train tickets are only open for reservations one month in advance of the boarding date, the number of tickets is limited. If you are unable to catch the train on the day, take the JR train instead and ride the Kyoto horse carriage. The train fare of JPY880 will be refunded.

Please note that riding may not be possible if the Kyoto Horse Carriage is closed on a holiday, due to bad weather, or if the horse is unwell. If you cannot ride, the Kyoto Horse Carriage fee will be refunded, and you'll need to take a shuttle bus to the Hozu River ferry terminal instead.

If the weather is bad, boarding the Hozu River Cruise may not be possible. In such a case, the group ticket fee will be refunded, and you'll need to take the JR train back to JR Saga Arashiyama Station.

Travelers who get seasick easily are advised to take medication prior to the journey.

If the tour is unable to take place due to weather conditions or insufficient number of people, the tour fee will be fully refunded. Travel expenses, transportation, accommodation facilities, etc. that the passengers should have incurred will not be compensated.

Please note that those who do not arrive on the day, drop out of the group, or voluntarily abandon the tour due to personal reasons are not allowed to request refunds or compensation.

Children under 3 years old who do not occupy a seat can join for free. Kindly provide the number of children and their date of birth in the "Remarks" section when placing your order.

The Arashiyama Train one-way ticket plan only provides one-way tickets for the Arashiyama Train on a limited schedule, and does not include the Kyoto Horse Carriage and Hozu River cruise itineraries.

For safety reasons, the Hojin River Cruise is only available for children and adults over 80 cm in height. If you are unable to board due to height restrictions on the day of departure, no refund will be given.

For safety reasons, each person with reduced mobility or disability must be accompanied by an accompanying person on the Hozu River Cruise.

To ensure the safety of all travelers and respect the rights of other group members, please inform us of any chronic diseases, mobility difficulties, etc., when registering.

Minors or children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Passengers over the age of 80 must be accompanied by family members or friends.

Based on travel safety and itinerary, the company reserves the right and obligation to adjust the itinerary, modify activities or cancel the tour. If the tour is canceled, the full tour fee will be refunded.

The flower/maple condition is subject to the weather conditions and will not affect tours that are already confirmed.
