Great location to walk to many areas of interest. The staff is amazing-so helpful and efficient.

We were there in very hot weather and the airconditioning in the room and the rooftop restaurant were very good.
Our room facing the river with roadway in between was surprisingly quiet due to double windows.
Rooftop restaurant (Les 3 Domes) was very impressive with floor to ceiling glass and impressive views of the old city, the river, and the newer city. Mid-century deluxe decor.
Very good food and we enjoyed dinner there twice.
Location is excellent with the luxury Intercontinental hotel and "Grand Dome" complex 1 block away. The main pedestrian shopping zone is 2 blocks away and is great for people watching and shopping. Restaurants are all around the pedestrian zone offering a wide range of choices within walking distance.We were able to spend 3 nights there while only walking.
Parking isn't cheap (about Eu30 night) but the valet parking garage under the hotel is extremely convenient and safe.
In summary we would certainly stay in this hotel on our next vist. It offers a near perfect balance of convenience, quality, and value.

We enjoyed our stay at the Sofitel. Not only was it an excellent location (in between the Rue Victor Hugo and Rue de la République and near Vieux Lyon), but the service was exceptional. The hotel is beautiful, clean, and well maintained. The icing on the cake was the turn down service. We would absolutely return!

Definitely not a 5 start hotel. Old and tired. Stuck in the 70s and in need of a major renovation. Bathrooms smelled badly and it was just terrible.

Nous avons l'habitude de descendre au SOFITEL, à chacun de nos séjours à Lyon, car nous apprécions cet hotel pour son confort, son calme et la gentillesse de son personnel.
Un point moins positif: l'exiguité des toilettes dans la salle de bains.... depuis la rénovation, mais qu'y faire?

Das Zimmer war in die Jahre gekommen, an Wänden und Teppichboden eindeutige Spuren erkennbar. Einrichtung war ok, jedoch älteren Jahrgangs. Super bequemes Bett, Personal sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. Wirklich störend fand ich einzig den Lärm der Bauarbeiten, welcher mich morgens in Schrecken versetzte, es hörte sich an, als würde jeden Moment was durch die Decke in mein Zimmer stürzen. Darüber wäre ich gerne vorab in Kenntnis gesetzt worden.
Jetzt wo ich mir dieser Möglichkeit gewahr bin, werd ich dies nächstes Mal beim Check in abklären.
Die Super Lage & der ausgezeichnete Service hab ich während meines Aufenthaltes sehr genoss. Würde dieses Hotel deshalb auf jeden Fall empfehlen!
