Fernie Stanford Resort

Not a lot of options for breakfast, had very few choices for warm breakfast, (oatmeal, waffles, toast, and pancakes but the machine was broken) if you’re coming here for the free breakfast, I’d go somewhere else, no bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, etc. the room itself was clean but when we looked around the heating filters were covered in dust, the jacuzzi tub had dirt/ mold coming out of the jets, and stains on the curtains. The loft bed was nice and clean, well made. The hair dryer did not work. The pillows were hard as rock.

The family room layout was perfect for our family of 5. The kids enjoyed the waterslide and we enjoyed the hot tub (small and sometimes crowded). The hotel restaurant is a hidden gem that serves great food at reasonable prices. The free breakfast is ok, but leaves a little to be desired.

Room was good. Staff was friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast was good.

Rooms were clean. We ran out of hot water the one evening for 3 hours due to the high volume of persons. Breakfast choices very limited and breakfast eating area was full of boxes.

Limited maintenance for a hotel that’s 25 years old. That’s was the spot in 2001 and now it’s a good ski bum stop. Check in took 20 minutes because the toilet was leaking reportedly in our room

The room was clean although the shower didn’t work well. Nice breakfast.

Excellent room, nice and clean! Great food and service at the restaurant. The pool and hot tub were enjoyable. Highly recommend the Stanford in Fernie!

Staff was friendly and accommodating. Linen in our room was stained. Probably won’t stay again unless I have to.

Was warm and friendly, excellent place to stay with a family, travelling, in our case with a family of four.

Everything was good except for the breakfast. Milk was chunky when my daughter tried to pour some into her cereal. No breakfast attendant around to remedy the issue.

Great place

This was my 3rd time staying at this hotel and sadly the upkeep has really gone downhill. The hotel looks rundown, and in need of a refresh/clean. The rooms are dirty, and worn. Our Tub was damaged, toilet cracked , Patio screen door ripped and off the tracks. All things that can be looked past, but the room itself was extremely dirty. Beds, sheets, counters, toilet and walls. Absolutely Terrible There is never anyone at the front desk and when you ring the bell, if someone does come, they look annoyed to assist, even when checking out. The pool is nice and the kids loved the slide. Very unfortunate to see such a nice property be neglected to this point.

The staff were awesome. \the room was clean. The Stanford Inn is a little dated but a great place to stay . Food at the restraunt was very good. I will be back.

We have been staying at this property everytime we go to fernie which is typically 2-3 times a year. It just seems like the property needs better maintenance and upkeep. The Indian restaurant attached to the hotel is now gone as well and the new restaurant isn’t great. A little bit of proper upkeep and cleanliness would help. Also the continental breakfast has gone a bit downhill with lack of staff in the breakfast area.

Staff was good but rooms were sub standard. First room had dirty towels, second room had a broken door to the outside. They finally gave us a nicer , quieter room Breakfast was minimal

We got the jacuzzi sweet. Room was clean as always. Staff is nice. The pool and slide are the main attraction for the kids and adults. Worth a stop if you like to slide. It's a really fast slide. So much fun.
