Short stay with business - I stay at the Orchard regularly, so I know what I'm getting. It's a very good quality, large hotel, with everything you'd expect. It's a little on the expensive side, but you get what you pay for.

Lovely hotel in nice grounds, felt amenities were a bit mislead, swimming pool etc are in a sports complex 5 mins walk away.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Bar prices seemed high.

There are some works going on in the lobby in the reception so it was dusty and noisy so not a very nice experience on that otherwise everything else was okay

The environment is great, it’s safe and quiet with beautiful view. The hotel upgraded my room which provided with coffee machine. The location is convenient, just 10 min to the city centre. The only shortcoming is no fridge provided.

We enjoyed the overall experience at Orchard Hotel. The signature suite was simply stunning.
It appears the hotel is under refurbishment in the restaurant which caused a chaotic experience with in-room dining and check in. Cold breakfast and dinner ordering was rushed and not attentive to guests with intolerances and allergies. The staff delivering the food tried their upmost however to rectify. Staff were friendly and polite in reception.

Stayed for one night, room was clean, comfortable and good condition. Good to be able to get a proper twin room. Had the breakfast which was great plenty of selection and good value. Only comment is that items were available to order but it would be good to have this written down as the server was just telling people as they came in.

We had a lovely time here, were greeted by a lovely friendly young lady at reception that answered all our silly questions. Room wasn’t huge but ample and clean, shower was a delight. We used the pool which was part of the uni over the road and was a swimmers pool not for relaxing in but still a bonus.
Lovely bed and air con.
Topped off with a very tasty buffet breakfast with everything we could ask for for breakfast.
Would come again if ever we were in this part of the country again

The hotel is lovely, the staff we very friendly and helpful. My only criticism is the phone signal and Wi-Fi, I could not make phone calls on my mobile or use the internet in my room, which is difficult if you are trying to work.

I was placed in a room with wall-to-wall windows that looked directly into the cafe and restaurant, which made me feel uncomfortably on display. I had to draw the curtains, which unfortunately shut out all natural daylight, making the space feel less inviting. Additionally, I was left waiting while the restaurant staff finished a team meeting, which didn’t create a welcoming first impression. As for the meal, I ordered the cod dish, which was beautifully presented but lacked in portion size — it felt like style was prioritised over substance.
