Heat exhaust blast directly on balcony overlooking ocean (unusable). TV cable reception extremely poor; wavering continuously. No face towels. Loud music in room from pool area until 9:30PM

This was my second reservation for this hotel. In my first reservation things did not go well.
This reservation things were much better. We had a very large room. Two floors. Good for 4. Booked for two nights. That also included four free breakfasts for each morning. We were only two.
Because of a change in schedule we could not stay the whole night on the second night. I needed to travel early to Manila for my return flight to my country.
Because of this situation, they allowed us to have breakfast twice on the same day (both still free), and we did take for the second breakfast (which we had for lunch before I travelled to airport for my flight).
A second bonus.... because I did not complete my stay that night, they gave me a partial refund for the time I did not use. That was awesome. Thank you Tris. I wanted to give her a hug and a kiss... hahahaha

Reasonably priced stay in Tacloban City. Not a luxury property, but aspiring to be better than average for the area. Three restaurants with good quality food, as well as a coffee shop in the lobby. The Japanese place on the roof had a hip atmosphere and delicious sushi and ramen. Rooms are on the small side but with very comfortable beds. WiFi was inconsistent and AC needed to be repaired.

Had huge rats and roaches, they were repairing rooms so hammering all day, and they always seemed to screw up room service and then you were stuck paying for it

The staff was great. There was an issue with are room from the previous guest, which caused us to wait several hours before we could check in. And with that wait, there was no attempt at some type compensation.
One of the big reasons I chose this hotel was the swimming pool. It was not available. That happens. We are staying this hotel again in two weeks. I was told it would still be ready at that time.

This is a very nice hotel with excellent restaurants. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The place is starting to show its age and getting a little rundown. The pool is too dirty and the wifi is terrible in many areas. That said, it's still our favorite place to stay.

Schlechtes Personal, das Frühstück kam nach ca. 15 Minuten obwohl nur 15 Gäste und 4 Bedienungen da waren . Die Spiegeleier und der Toast waren kalt. Anstelle dem bestellten Kaffee kam Tee …
Der Überzug der Decke war an einer Ecke total zerfetzt. Das Hotel ist sehr hellhörig , von jeder zugeschlagenen Tür wacht man auf

No hot water in my room and no towels in the room asked for towels but no we’re delivered to my room i ended up booking another room at Asia Star Hotel which had hot water and towels in the room ,,,, XYZ needs to fix these things this is the second time I have stayed at XYZ and there was no hot water
