The bar is never open! Otherwise a perfect place to stay.

It is a motel that doesn't have staff on site and you only find out when you arrive. It took 15 minutes waiting before I could contact someone by mobile to obtain the codes to enter the building. The carpark is shared with a dental centre and the parking isn't always available.

Great value for money and central location.

This is certainly a value for money proposition. The rates are relatively low for the area which is a huge plus. The receiving method by phone as opposed to in person is odd though effective. While the room we had was obviously not new it was comfortable and more than adequate for an overnight stay. The lack of any windows in the room was a little off putting but certainly not a deal breaker. Shops close by with plenty of food choices is great. No noise disturbances from road or guests. We would come back again

Great location and value for money!

The owner was very supportive when Expedia completely stuffed up my reservation! I was told I came the week before! Luckily the owner was kind and understanding to let me use the only available room, which was very nice. Roomy, comfy, all you needed. Wifi was no good so hot spot. Convenient location near shops. Quiet at night I will never use Expedia again. But Bay and Basin was value for money.

The place needs a complete clean up, starting from the carpets they smell very musty and the bathroom has mould in the shower, not recommended if you like a clean environment.

Clean, no frills room. Had all of the things needed (A/C, microwave, hair dryer, iron). Bit odd to have no staff on site, but apart from that was just like any other budget hotel.

Just needed a bed for the night for us to attend a function in the area. Bed was comfy. Goid room for our little stay

The room was fine and large at the property. The check-in process is inefficient and especially frustrating after a long drive. There were no staff at the motel during our entire stay. We had 3 phonThere was no welcome arrival or departure, which one usually enjoys with a small family business. The codes could be sent on the day of arrival like most other self check-in properties. We were advised there would be a $20 late fee if we arrived late. This could be avoided. The instructions could also be emailed if it was deemed too difficult for guests with photos.

Very happy with this lovely little place. Very clean and the staff are super helpful. Sharon the cleaner went above and beyond and helped us out when our car broke down. She allowed us to stay again in the same room and recommend a mechanic. Would recommend this place as a great cheap stay on travels to Jervis bay

We had a terrible experience checking in as no one was at the property, even though we had provided a specific arrival time. Upon calling the phone numbers displayed on the front door, we were told that staff were unable to locate our reservation and that we would have to wait for the property manager to answer his phone. I became very distressed as it was New Years Eve weekend and every property in the area was fully booked. As all the car spots assigned to each motel room were full and our reservation could not be found, I assumed that the motel may have overbooked. We are very grateful that a staff member, who was not supposed to be working at the time, answered her mobile and resolved the miscommunication, though we did wait outside of the property for an hour and postpone our dinner reservations. The stay was otherwise fine and we didn’t have any complaints, it was just a disappointing welcome to the only 2.5 days we had off as a break during the holiday season.
