Good location and room a good size. Will consider again.

We never made it!!! Why you think we stayed is beyond me. I called you four times & left messages but with no response at all I have sent two emails through Expedia with no response. You are welcome to call me on the number on my booking & unreturned phone calls Expedite tried to call you twice to discuss our predicament but was unable to contact you which is the same as my experience.

Clean comfortable stay - just what we needed

The location is superb, right next to the shopping centre, right next to everything in the town. The property condition is 7/10, but great value given the price.

Clean, convenient, roomy and very pet friendly

The term "Boutique Hotel" is misleading for this motel. It's an old building, but the room is modern and clean, although the bathroom seems to be designed for tall people. I'm 182cm(6ft) tall and found the basin too high. There was no room service during my four night stay leading to my suggestion that a two night stay is the limit.

We were of the understanding that we would be on the ground floor and really struggled with the stairs. Also a shower chair would have been appreciated.

We enjoyed our stay. The room was lovely, all very clean and nicely decorated. Great location, right across the road from the Country Club for dinner. Easy walk to the waters edge and cafe.

Hairs left all over unit, with no benches evidently wiped clean. Two single beds, connected to make queen bed. Very pricy for what was offered.

Foyer was smelly , not the condition for the money we paid

Information supplied did not indicate that there were no ground floor units. A lot of stairs. Room was a little cramped.

It was good

Rooms are all upstairs, so you have to lift your luggage yourself to a room with zilch storage. There is a tiny bathroom with no exhaust. No staff … bare minimum tea/coffee and toiletries. It’s all clean but old and musty carpets. Why is it a motel or a lodge … it can be a warehouse of old furniture.

We had a lovely experience with Bay n Basin. Staff were lovely and helpful. Clean and well maintained.

room was clean and the property itself was very nice, although the area around the property didn’t seem the safest. check in instructions were clear and easy to understand through the phone

We were greeted by a huge huntsman. The carpet was very dirty the hot water tap in sink didnt work both hot and cold taps in shower fell off. We were abused by a lady across from us because oir children woke her in the morning (we were in a family room) there was no spare toilet paper and our towels wernt refresed the next day. The beds have bed bugs. Overrall we had a bad experience which is disappointing as the hotel is very beautiful amd we would of loved to return again. The foyer also smells very uninviting.

Entrance to property unattractive. No staffed office and had to wait outside to be given key and shown accommodation. Accommodation very convenient to shops and services. Also exceptionally quiet and restful.

Overall, the room was basic but clean and comfortable. Shower hot and water pressure good. Usual amenities in the room, could have done with some tissues though. The Lodge is on the main road but was fairly quiet, we slept well. There are no ground floor rooms, and access is only by stairs, not good for people with mobility issues. A couple of extra hooks or rails is needed to hang towels in the bathroom, especially for 2 people. Only one (1) key is issued which is not ideal, sometimes my husband and I go separate ways and trying to organise this with 1 key was challenging. There is no reception or personal touch. There is a list of mobile numbers on the door to try and get in touch with someone to check in. I needed an extra towel and luckily I found a housekeeping person or I would have had to try ringing a bunch of mobiles. No information about the Lodge in the room, I had to ring the mobiles again to find out what to do with the key when I was leaving. An information folder in the room would have been helpful. The mobile numbers are only listed on the from door. Not sure how housekeeping works if you need extra linen etc. I just made our own bed and luckily I brought extra coffee & tea. The Lodge is very convenient to everything, right next to the local shops and the Country Club is across the road. I would stay again but I cannot see value for the money.
