After an anniversary stay I’ve come home with bed bug bites, there was cobwebs in the bedroom, and someone needs to look at the underside of the bathroom sink as when you are in the bath the pipe work is thick with dust! Thanks

Rooms were lovely, beautiful location and staff were great - perfect for what we went for. Spa was also lovely and very relaxing. Breakfast was also really nice and good for the price

Great location, lovely surroundings, love the spa cafe and the coconut lattes! Nice big comfy bed. Things which made me reduce my star rating to good instead of excellent: I’ve stayed with you a total of twelve nights this month due to my best friend have terminal illness and then passing away, so my summary of things to improve have been things I’ve consistently found on each stay: Pillows a bit flat, no room bar fridge, room service didn’t answer on two of my stays. Not a great range of food in your room service menu. No discount for my further stays which I had to book after the initial stay in march. Window wouldn’t close on current stay in 445. However, I will be back in July and stay again, as overall my stays with you have been delightful and these are small things in the bigger picture. Thanks again! X

Was fantastic

Lovely grounds and spa. Food at barneys brasserie was good. Service was poor and staff attitude was awful. We were made to feel really uncomfortable. Room was basic and a little dated. The was a large stain on the mattress protector. We were provided with the wrong room on arrival. Air con was very loud. We couldn’t open the window as there was a loud fan/bleeping noise. Room was very stuffy. We did not sleep well. Spa facilities were great but loungers outside in spa area were dirty and wet.

Hotel room was nice but bathroom was dated. King bed was 2 singles attached together with an uncomfortable zip down the middle. Food was expensive for quality.

The hotel rooms are looking a little tired. Even in the refurbished rooms the bathrooms are not really up to scratch. Cracked bath sides, plug hole was full Of hair so the bath didn’t drain. The bar staff on the 7/2/24 were no where to be seen a lot of the night there was just one poor lad on who wasn’t behind the bar a lot. The bar lacks any kind of atmosphere and the music doesn’t help 🙈 lots of the staff were nice but the lady behind the cafe in the spa bar I’ve seen on numerous times and is quite miserable and doesn’t smile ! Was the same last time we visited too with her. Reception staff were lovely though. We visited about 4 x now and I think this will be our last visit.

The hotel is tired and needs a revamp. Bathroom is mouldy and shower is poor. Room decor is disappointing- paint scuffed on walls. Service from reception almost non-existent. Gruff abrupt welcome and nobody ever answered the phone when calling for room service. Spa was excellent but was disappointed that there’s no hotel to spa access - you need to walk out of the hotel and around to the spa.

Corridors & hotel room tired e.g. torn wallpaper, scuffed table. Receptionist accused me of not paying for dinner the night before where I had to provide a credit card statement as proof of payment as apparently the till receipt wasn’t suffice & the Waiter didn’t provide a pdq receipt. Fantastic facilities & grounds & felt very festive!

Tired and delatipidated rooms, a spa were you have to walk 100 meters in the rain to get back too your room (no internal route form spa to hotel?) and dreadful service in the onsite Grill. not value for money in any way.

We arrived at 4 to be told our room wasnt ready, and asked to wait. After a while the reception came over with a room key and card which wasnt in our name. So further delay and before coming back to ask if it was an expedia booking befor finally giving us a key. The room overlooked the hotels ventilation equipment together with the associated noise. The bed was very soft and provided little support whilst the pillows were insubstantial. On the positive side the event we attended was well run with good service and so we hive this a better rating than might otherwise have been the case.

Overall disappointing! Not a suite as booked, carpet all lumpy, no robes or slippers, no normal tea in roo, had to go to reception as no one answered the phone! Funrniturenin Barney’s all broken, leg kept falling off and couch was like seesaw! Jacuzzi in Spa did not have all the jets were working, outside furniture was grubby!

I had a number of problems with my stay at this spa hotel. The carpet in the room had multiple stains on it. The vent was full of dust in the room for the air-conditioning. Also the air-conditioning didnt even work we were absolutely roasting all night and struggle to sleep. The window was full of cobwebs and the phone in the room for room. Service had no line to it so there was basically just a phone for show. Really disappointed.

Beautiful room and building. Crap shower with zero pressure.

Carpets in main dining area were very dirty. At odds with the upmarket positioning of the hotel.
