Hampton by Hilton Leeds City Centre

Staff were very welcoming and accommodating throughout our stay. Rooms and Breakfast were great for what we needed during our stay

Rooms are new (like the rest of the hotel). The room we booked was for 2 adults + 2 kids. Expecting 3 beds we actually got 2 beds and a couch, which was clearer a 2 seater, that had a SMALL double z-bed frame. Was really uncomfortable for both kids (age 12 and 9). Totally not what we expected of had in other mid range hotels we’ve stayed at previously. We actually assumed it was for 3 people so asked for a new room (we got a different room, but same bed was in the second room). The kids had a bad nights sleep, as did we as they kept disturbing each other. To top off the sleep, the air con filter alarm randomly went off at 5:50. At which point we were all wide awake. Breakfast was so-so, bacon appeared to have been shredded, tea was grey even brewed with two bags. Staff were ok, Area was not pleasant, lots of noise from the ring road, with a poor outlook, the walk to the city was through a bit of a back alley / side road, not well lit, especially walking under a ring road bridge. Avoid later at night. Will not be rushing back to a Hampton branded hotel.

Great staff and clean modern rooms with a comfortable bed. Cannot fault this hotel.

The room I booked was recommend for a group booking, assumed 4 people would be able to fit in the room comfortably, unfortunately the room was only made up for 3 people when we arrived, had to ask at reception for more towels which were provided straight away,, also requested more bedding at the same time and was informed this would be sent up to our room, 3 hrs later no extra bedded was received, contacted reception, was informed it would be with us shortly, still no extra bedding 30 minutes later had to call reception again only to be told we would receive it within the next 10 mins, a further 25 mins later the bedding was received. One member of the group had to sleep on the floor which is totallly out of order as the room stipulated ‘ideal for group bookings’, next time will book 2 rooms.

Good location close to Victorian Quarter. Room clean, breakfast serving not busy, and fair standard.

Room was cold so electric heater provided. I felt the quality of the food for breakfast was poor. Croissants dry and powdery, bacon and sausage cheap. I wouldn’t expect this for the price we paid. Also they charged for early check in. I’ve stayed in plenty of hotels that don’t charge for this.

The staff were really friendly without exception. Decent hotel with reasonable bar prices. A room issue was dealt with well.

Room needs abit updating an carpets where dirty so but the room was over all ok for the price! The breakfast was lovely and so where the staff, very friendly staff and where always happy to help us! Good location as only a short walk into the city centre.

The hotel was ok, didn’t feel very Christmassy compared to other venues stayed at. Room was lovely and warm and comfy bed. Room was nice size for a twin. Cleaner did not top up the sanitary bags tho and this was empty when we arrived and I was not able to dispose of personal stuff properly due to this, the mirror in room was filthy with marks all over it. Other than that it was fine. Brew station needs better selection like couple fruit teas and maybe biscuits. Breakfast was ok, standard nothing special, stood at hot plate ten minutes before someone even realised there was no bacon or hash browns and by time they had brought some out what I had on my plate had gone cold. Wasn’t busy in there either and plenty free tables that was at 9am on a Sunday morning

Bed too close to.the wall so unable to get down one side, bed was uncomfortable and everytime we moved it made a noise. Breakfast wasnt the best very limited choice compared to past Hampton i have stayed in. Qualify wasnt great

I arrived after 10pm and my room was not available (presumably the hotel was overbooked). I was moved to a cheaper hotel with fewer amenities (including no gym). Having raised a complaint, staff have initially been dismissive of a request for compensation.
