朝食にイギリスらしいフルブレックファストを楽しむことができて、良い朝のスタートになりました。 駐車場の入り口がやや分かりにくいのは残念でした

Lovely staff, great breakfast and very comfortable room.

Lovely property, very friendly and helpful staff, and a nice breakfast … but the bedrooms were SO HOT they were unbearable. Both of our rooms were at the front of the building with the widows in full sun all day while the bay windows barely opened so there was no air at all. The receptionist could only offer a poor fan that actually pumped out warm air. If we hadn’t had family also staying we would 100% have bailed. The owner needs to sort out some air con because the world isn’t going to get any cooler!

Great place, location perfect and the staff were so lovely and accommodating. The breakfast was one of the best I have had in a hotel. They really go out the way to make your stay the best . The only negative is the rooms were so hot , so either air conditioning or a fan would have been so much better.

This is a comfortable hotel, outside the city center (and the crowds and noise). A short walk (20 minutes) brings you to the heart of York. Conveniently close to the train station. Quiet, comfortable bed, delicious breakfast and helpful staff. It was during a heat wave and they found two small fans for us which were lifesavers. Tea and cold water always available.

Such an amazing stay. Check in was easy and super friendly. Great communication and WiFi was great. Loved our room and the fresh milk For my coffee in my room was a bonus. Didn’t have breakfast but looked amazing and did not need to use car park but there looked like plenty of spaces which is rare in York. Loved this place and will definitely come back

As a middle aged solo traveller attending a conference at this hotel. My bedroom was on the first floor amongst the rooms occupied by teenage travellers who wanted to party until 2am. The corridors on this floor were painted black with zany pictures. The shower was a hand held and not fixed to the wall, clean but not ideal. I was awoken at 7am by the cleaning staff, talking loudly and banging doors. I think it was a poor decision by the the hotel to put me in this room, the hotel has 1400 rooms and should segregate teenagers from clients who want a decent night's sleep. I will not be returning.

Such a beautiful place to stay, quiet and comfy! The room was perfect and it had everything we needed for a fantastic night!

We stayed in room 1. We had read some bad reviews, but we had no problems. It was on the ground floor (no stairs) next to the front door. We both had a good nights sleep. There were the usual hot drinks facilities in the room. There was a walk modern walk in shower. The staff were friendly, cheerful and helpful and we were given fresh milk on arrival. Breakfast (English cooked) was wonderful and well presented. There was secured parking at the rear of the property at the cost of £20 a day. The hotel is on the outskirts of York, about a 15 to 20 minutes walk in a nice area.

The hotel is full of quirky little seats and corridors. The staff were extremely helpful and polite. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and at ease. The room was one of the best sizes and layouts for the cost we've stayed in the the bathrooms are excellent. The showers are double size walk in with waterfall nozzles and excellent finish. Would thoroughly recommend.

We were expecting something special for the £175 we paid for this “deluxe” double. We were very disappointed to be given a ground floor, small double. This was next to the front door and on the fairly busy road. Disturbed by a drunken hen party knocking on the door as they couldn’t be bothered to find their key. The onsite staff had gone by 5:30 when they’re supposed to be there until 8:00pm. Our room was really hot. We had to ring the emergency number for a fan, the manager living half an hour away arranged for another staff member to come back. He gave us two fans and acknowledged this room was hot. The two fans were on from the moment we got them to us leaving. . Couldn’t have the window open overnight as we were on the ground floor and the windows were bottom opening sash windows. Had to keep the very thick curtains closed, again because we were on the ground floor. We would not have booked a ground floor room had we known and being next to the front door was very noisy. Our room didn’t feature on any of the photos available when booking, no surprise really. The staff were all friendly but it’s poor when there’s no one available from 5:30pm to 6:00 am for the price paid. Needless to say this hotel was a disappointment and overpriced and we would not recommend it.
