Breakfast is very tasty.You can choice your favorite dishes. Dinning room is very clean and fashionable. I enjoyed breakfast with beautiful sea view.

受付のスタッフの対応がとても良かった。 質問にも笑顔で迅速に回答してくれた。 朝食も満足できました。アガサクリスティーが泊まった部屋も見学できて、ラッキーでした。 海側の部屋からの景色は、最高でした。 また、泊まりたいです。

Staff were very helpful,really nice room clean and tidy,lots of seating outside and clean looks, lovely self serve English breakfast one of the best I’ve had,but hotel needs a bit of a update ,especially in rooms where you still need a plug to charge phone etc.

We have stayed at the Grand on numerous occasions and this is the first time I was disappointed with the overall experience. We had a room on the first floor, room was really dusty , woodwork and windows lots of small flies. Staff were excellent especially in the main restaurant. Loved the outside pool and facilities, Whilst in the hot tub a random guy came in and I felt slightly uncomfortable and intimidated as I have mobility issues, and had to wait for my partner to help me out once he came to support me.I asked if he was staying at the hotel or worked there he said no, I know there is security around as we were asked each day what our room number was . Food at breakfast and restaurant was good. And thank you for being able to get a parking spot in your garage for the time we were there.

Outdoor pool was amazing and breakfast was lovely.

We booked this hotel to celebrate our wedding anniversary, unfortunately we chose the wrong hotel. We had prior informed them of this, they not only never made a note of it, they completely ignored our day, when we got back from our day out we checked with them what was being done for us they quickly hurried scribbled a card and put some soggy strawberries in our room, we only saw them at 8pm when we got back from our outing. The room was never cleaned at anytime during our stay, the bed was very uncomfortable and hard, we requested a topper or matress change, nothing was done, the hot water is too hot and difficult to cool as theres two taps instead of one dual, the very old carpet has dark staines on it needs to be replaced. On our last day we had no cups to make even a cup of tea, there is no fridge nor any drinking water provided at all in the room and our own was very warm within a very short time. Overall, a very poorly maintained hotel. Needs a proper upgrade its age and lack of modernisation is showing big time. We shall not be returning here thank you very much.!

Lovely hotel great location and pool was brilliant (needed a clean around area, few cups from day before) Evening meal wasn’t anything to shout about on first night but lovely restaurants just on doorstep. Steak overdone and seems pricey for what it was.

Each year on return, we notice less maintenance and upkeep. We,always have to insist on a change of room, they try give the same room on check in with view of ugly roof, blocking some sea view. However, they did upgrade the room, but it’s the fact we are at first always offered this room above the ugly roof. No washcloths this time, and upkeep was not cleaned throughly. But acceptable. Dining food, once again failed us. We end up eating out for the most part. Buffet breakfast is always a good experience, and we enjoy that each morning . The hotel definitely meets the needs of its members first , and weddings etc . Members with daily access to pool , etc means there are less beds for hotel customers . Some members will stay all day, every day and there are not enough sunbeds. Which is unfair for those on holiday during busier season. This Hotel is definitely not equipped for disabled, there is. No easy access to the pool for disabled if you want to swim. Most staff, are great, and we have our favorites who fortunately are always around during our stay. I liked the pool area and the breakfast room and breakfast

I recently stayed at the Grand Hotel in Torquay from Monday to Friday last week with my family, and unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. The hotel is in a fantastic location, making it easy to explore Torquay and walk to the beach. Having two swimming pools was also a nice feature and something the children enjoyed. However, the hotel itself is in desperate need of modernisation. Our biggest concern was safety around the pool. My daughter caught her toe on a loose or damaged tile and injured herself. A manager acknowledged that she had hurt herself but simply walked away without offering any assistance or showing any concern, which was very disappointing. We had booked a family room for four people but were given a room with only one double bed and one single bed. The solution offered was an extra mattress on the floor, which is not what I would expect when paying for a family room. The covered car park was another let-down. The bird netting was torn, allowing birds to get in, and my car ended up covered in bird droppings during our stay. Overall, while the location and pool facilities are positives, they weren't enough to make up for the poor room arrangements, lack of customer care, and the general condition of the hotel. Unfortunately, I won't be staying here again.

Breakfast was great, staff were amazing, parts of the hotel were a little tired but we had an amazing time and I would stay again!

Hotel is in a great location

had a 2 night stay and location good and in its heyday sure was a great hotel, but it is run down and needs a lot of money spent on it, room was very worn, wallpaper hanging off wall and bit tatty. we had a family room with bunk bed, and this it was very old and very noisy. The weather was very hot at the time of stay which was great for the weekend but being on 3rd floor the rooms were very uncomfortable.

Et litt slitt hotell som en gang har vært veldig fint. Hyggelig å sitte utenfor. Frokosten var enkel.Koselig strand og parkområde rett utenfor.

The room was clean, the bed very comfortable, the fan provided was barely adequate, (oh for some air conditioning). The receptionist was rather abrupt, & the parking was rather hit & miss. The bar was very comfortable & the staff there pleasant. The restaurant airy & the staff pleasant. Food good. Overall stay was quite pleasant.

Had a lovely relaxing stay at the Grand Hotel. Room was big and beds comfortable. Down side was there was a bath with a shower so my disabled husband was unable to climb in. Pool area was lovely and managed to have a swim. Staff very friendly and attentive. Will definitely stay again.

When Basil Fawlty left his previous hotel i have a very strong feeling he took over this place. The hotel is a little tired and dated, but ok, and generally the day to day staff were pleasant and helpful, but anything that a manager touched (or could have touched but just ignored) was woeful. A friend complained their shower wasn't working properly, they were told to email customer service. A simple request to change the tv channel was sneered at and ignored, the on duty manager went behind the scenes and hid after the 30th person requested. It was so dissapointing we left a day early, which given the room cost was a high price for us to pay. Not the worst hotel i have ever stayed at, but management did their level best to try and make it that way

Hotel is a little dated although the reception and bar are decent. My room was nice but hot due to the high heats when I stayed. The hotel lacks air conditioning in the extreme heats but does however include a fan in the room which is good. Breakfast was a poor experience though with machines running out and there being slow supply of standard things like bread and plates. This was the same for the people I travelled with as well. A nice stay but with some tweaks needed
