UMi was a fantastic couples getaway. Even with the beaches in Tulum being hit with heavy sargassum, their staff was consistently raking and removing it so there were no interruptions to our experience. The property was amazing, the Ocean Front Master Suite was perfect. The hotel staff was friendly and always available to make ordering drinks or food easy. The staff confirmed restaurant reservations for us before our arrival. Food was great - the included breakfast was phenomenal! UMi's proximity to everything was exactly what we wanted. We walked everywhere in the Hotel zone, never had to use a cab or ride service - though it was an option if needed. 10/10 would recommend and go back!

My experience at Umi Tulum was wonderful! First, the property looks exactly like the photos. Everything was incredibly clean, I was surprised of how well they cleaned the sand from our room each day! The private pool, restaurant, cafe, and beach club were all spectacular. However, the best part of our stay were the people. All of the staff were so kind and the service was top notch. Diego especially went above and beyond to make sure we had a safe and exciting trip. He kindly upgraded our room when there was a delay in having ours ready, helped us find cash, book appointments with local spas, and figure out how to get around as easily as possible. On our last day we had to rush to check out, Diego coordinated retrieving our belongings and talking with the shuttle driver to make sure we made it to the airport in time. I wasn’t able to properly thank him prior to leaving but he truly made our trip unforgettable and I am so grateful for the staff and hope to return in the future!

Absolutely loved this property! It was absolutely beautiful, and every person on staff was lovely. Riccardo and Diego were especially helpful and had great recommendations for the area. We are dying to get back to Tulum so we can stay here again! Thank you UMi!

We booked an upgraded master suite with rooftoop pool. We were given a completely different room that wasn't even close to the room I booked thru Expedia. Then they shifted us to another room and even that was not tye room we booked. We were so frustrated by tuat time, we just stayed in a lower category room anyway. Management and admin is awful here!!!

If you're looking for serenity, beauty and excellent service, this is the place to be. A beautiful spot, gorgeous rooms and friendly service. I highly recommend this gem... Umi is a vibe.

To whom it may concern, I am writing to formally demand a full refund for the final four nights of my stay at Umi Tulum (February 21, 22, 23 and 24), following a severe security breach and management's failure to provide a habitable, secure environment. The Incident: On the night of Saturday, February 21, the lock on our primary entrance—a beachfront sliding glass door—failed completely. At 12:00 AM, hotel staff spent 90 minutes drilling the lock out of the door. From 1:30 AM on Saturday until our checkout on Tuesday, February 24, our room remained entirely unsecured. The door opened freely from the outside with no functioning locking mechanism. Failure to Remedy: Despite being told the lock would be repaired by Monday, no repairs were ever made. We remained in an unsecured room for three consecutive nights. Furthermore, this occurred during an active military operation and while the US Embassy had issued a "shelter-in-place" advisory for American citizens in the region. The hotel’s inability to provide a locking door during a period of heightened civil unrest is a gross violation of basic safety standards and the "Guest Promise" established by Expedia. Requested Resolution: Upon checkout, front desk staff refused to offer

What I especially enjoyed was the hotel’s design: my beautiful modern spacious room, the attractive spacious dining area with a gorgeous view to the sea. The hotel staff was excellent. I really appreciated as a solo traveler the hotel and hotel staff making sure I took full advantage of the nightlife options. There were some issues inside the room that were eventually fixed. Not a big deal. Thanks to everyone from Umi for making me feel welcome and for the beautiful atmophere.

La comida fue muy buena, las habitaciones son amplias con increíble diseño, muy limpias, y el servicio fue excelente. En general, una experiencia muy agradable y totalmente recomendable

Master suite photos are different in-person than online. The pool isn’t attached to the room, it’s on the roof which is accessible by everyone using the stairs.

The beach view was amazing, and the pool was cool to take a quick dip into to take beautiful pictures of the ocean in the background.

Room was clean on arrival and housekeeping was very responsive and accommodating to our needs. Staff were all very helpful, pleasant, and cheerful - especially Will!

Room was great. Beach need to reserve as the keep the beds for outside guests over hotel guests

Nossa estadia no UMi Tulum foi simplesmente inesquecível. Desde a chegada até o check-out, tudo superou as expectativas. O hotel é lindo, com uma estrutura impecável, design elegante e integração perfeita com a natureza. As áreas comuns, beach club e piscina são excelentes. Ficamos em um quarto lindíssimo, de frente para o mar, muito confortável, espaçoso e com uma vista maravilhosa. A limpeza foi impecável durante toda a estadia. A comida é excelente, tanto no restaurante quanto no beach club. Pratos muito bem preparados, ingredientes frescos e um café da manhã delicioso à beira-mar. O atendimento merece destaque: toda a equipe é extremamente atenciosa e simpática. Um elogio especial para a Michele, que foi simplesmente incrível durante toda a nossa estadia — sempre atenciosa, eficiente e cuidando de cada detalhe para que tudo estivesse perfeito. Também destacamos o Oscar, Manuel e Jaime, sempre muito educados e prestativos. Outros nomes infelizmente não lembro, mas toda a equipe foi excepcional. O hotel também tem eventos muito bem organizados, com ótima vibe e público agradável. O UMi Tulum entrega a combinação perfeita de conforto, localização incrível, excelente gastronomia e atendimento impecável. Com certeza voltaremos e recomendamos sem pensar duas vezes.
