We absolutely loved our syay at Umi tulum. The staff was so kind and accommodating, they even upgraded our room to a beautiful beach front room ! Breakfasts each morning were delicious and cooked to order. The d.j sets at 2pm each day were a great vibe. We feel so lucky to have stayed at this beautiful property.

Our room was the best beach view. We could walk out of our room onto the sand. There was a private room pool on our patio. All the staff was amazing. Ricardo at the front desk was so great and helpful in all our bookings. The food was so good we really only ate at the hotel. Our 6 day trip was simply perfect because of UMi hotel. I highly recomend them! Thanks to their fine staff!!

Diego & ricardo were amazing! Diego did what he could to aleviate all inconveniences of the room! However, they still remained. Fromthe ceilingn room leaking down drips of water, to No hot water whatsoever. To shower water running into bathroom floor due to no door or cover, ,the door itself to the room made out of wood in a way that leaves it opned and not sealed to block any mosquitoes/outside insects that disturbed our sleep and uncomfortableness! We paid for a birthday arrangement that came out as nice as the Sun allowed but still grateful to diego above all! Did offer upgrade room but we did not want the darker colors that came with it. Ours was bright and light. Just very poor Management from whomever!

Communication through WhatsApp was good. The staff responded in a timely matter. Breakfast was good. However, there were cats around the property and my daughter was allergic to them. It was not stayed before booking. Until it was time to check out things were great, but they wanted to charge me a fee to clean the towels because of makeup stains that were washable. They also tried to say it was blood at first. I was very upsetting to have paid and tipped workers cash to then get charge to clean towels after a stay. No one should have to pay to clean towels it’s a hotel towels are common things to account for.

This hotel is spectacular. When we were there, it was a little bit quiet, but that was perfect because we had a lot of one-on-one attention from the staff and they really took extra care to make sure that we were very comfortable. Riccardo at the front desk was an exceptional host. Highly recommend.

We loved everything about this property, best staff. Communicated through Whatsapp and in person, i was informed about everything happening at the hotel. The hotel staff shared recommendations for example local restaurants around the hotel and even downtown. Some of the staff shared their favorite lagoons in the area too. The rooms were spacious and the common grounds was always clean. Food and drinks was delicious, we enjoyed the breakfast and the fresh ceviche.

Wow where do I begin. From check in to Check out. I had a wonderful experience. My ocean front room … I have never had anything like it before… two words to describe this place : PEACE & TRANQUILITY. This was my first time doing a Solo trip and I couldn’t have picked a better place. (I was debating between here and Be tulum, so happy I chose this place !!) it’s a lot more private and intimate. Not only was the staff attentive but they also made me feel very safe. Being able to communicate via WhatsApp was a major plus. Response time any time of the day also impressive. To add on … the food on property … OMG BOTH restaurant and cafe .. *chefs kiss* the salmon dish (MUST TRY!!) and the French dip sandwich !!!!!! I cannot brag enough. Also must try, the date and banana toast at the Bi polar cafe !!! I could go on and on but I’m sure you get it. Last but not least, THANK YOU to Diego and Ricardo !! Who were both super amazing and there to help from check in to check out. As a solo female traveler it felt good to feel safe in a place I have never been. I appreciate it and can’t wait to return !!!

The pool area is a dream: tranquil, well-kept, and surrounded by lush greenery. I spent hours lounging with a cocktail in hand, soaking in the calm energy. Breakfast was made to order every morning and featured fresh, local ingredients – don’t miss the chilaquiles! If you’re looking for a place with soul, style, and standout service, this is it. I’ve traveled a lot, and this place ranks among my top stays ever. Already dreaming about my return trip!

Todo excelente, el único tema es el sargazo, si impide meterte al mar, pero la atención de todo el staff es buenisima y el lugar también nos encantó. Definitivamente volveríamos!

Our stay at this boutique hotel in Tulum was truly exceptional. The service, accommodations, and overall atmosphere far exceeded our expectations. Everything was immaculately clean — we even noticed staff scrubbing outdoor pillowcases, which speaks volumes about their dedication to hygiene. Housekeeping was consistently outstanding. The room was stylish, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. Breakfast each morning was phenomenal — some of the best food we had during our entire trip. The staff made all the difference. Carlos was incredibly helpful, kind, and attentive — he went above and beyond in every interaction. Eliso was also wonderful — professional, welcoming, and clearly committed to ensuring guests have a great experience. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Tulum.

I LOVED the property and the room. Perfect for solo travelers (like myself) and romantic getaways. The location was in the middle of what I like to call Hotel Row. It is like the Vegas strip but between the ocean and jungle. It is walking distance to restaurants and shops. The staff (Arantxa, Diego, Carlos, Ricardo, and Eliseo) were well organized and prepared. They provided menus ahead of my arrival. Breakfast was delicious and the food is good. The staff assisted in arranging my transportation to and from the hotel as well as my excursions: 1) Tulum Mayans and 2) Cenotes, which was the highlight of my trip. During my stay the hotel hosted a party featuring a Tulum favorite DJ and the last night of my stay they hosted a movie night (The Pursuit of Happyness). I will definitely return again whether alone, with a bae, or with family/friends.

So all in all the place was nice and in a prime location. At checkout they charged me a $10 fee because there was 2 make up stains on the sheets . It’s only $10. But I knew it couldn’t have been make up because I wasn’t wearing any. I did have beer with Clamato and maybe a few drops spilled. But that’s something that comes out with a normal wash. So I’m wondering if they don’t wash sheets in between guests and had to charge me for washing them because extra stain remover was definitely not needed . There was nothing we did that would have warranted a $10 extra fee.
