Make straightforward barista-style coffee

The Jogja coffee tour is an educational tour that comes with ideas based on the tastes of tourists, especially millennials and also a group of organizations interested in coffee. Currently, there are many coffee shops on the side of the road, modern cafes to rural café themes that offer natural views of Jogjakarta, as well as tourists' interest in trying various variations of coffee.

This Jogja Coffee Tour is not only to refresh the mind from daily routines but is filled with useful knowledge with the aim of opening insights and motivating tourists about what coffee is, types, history, how to process coffee and can provide a view of coffee business opportunities. Therefore Velocity Transport provides facilities to collaborate with Barista instructors from IONs Culinary Collage, Mansion and Density Caffe as a mini course provider to support this program.

04:00-05:00 Guests gather at the pickup point by the driver using a Velocity Transport vehicle and the driver will be the Tour Leader to Suroloyo coffee plantation / Kopi Merapi to introduce the types of coffee plantations.

05:30-08:30 Before going to coffee garden, guests will be invited to see the view of Borobudur Temple from a distance, sunrise at the top of Suroloyo and tours around the location.

09:00-10:30 Guests are directed around the coffee plantation and Suroloyo coffee cooperative. Owner/head of farmer group who will provide education about coffee plants. Guests can experience picking coffee beans and processing the coffee skin cleaning until it dries into green beans. Guests can shop for souvenirs of authentic Suroloyo coffee which is traditionally processed and enjoy brewed coffee at nearby shops

11:00-13:00 Guests are directed to their next educational destination to Café Maison Daruma. Here guests will be invited to walk around the café while watching the roasting process of coffee beans. Guests will be given a lot of insight here by the cafe owner about various types of coffee, roasting tools, and coffee making tools. Maison Daruma will prepare coffee beans that will be brought by guests for practice at the next place. Guests can shop for coffee beans to try and make coffee equipment here and taste the special Capuccino/Americano coffee at Maison.

13:00-14:00 Heading to Density Living, guests rest at Density Café while enjoying lunch prepared by Maktea Kitchen.

14:00-16:00 Guests learn from Barista ICC how to make coffee using manual, automatic brewing and latte art from brought coffee beans which will then be practiced alternately. Of course our Barista welcomes all coffee-related questions from guests.

16:00-17:00 After enjoying their homemade brewed coffee, guests are welcome to prepare themselves to the final destination of the tour as a bonus, namely being able to shop or just hang out in Malioboro or go to the final drop off point.
