I agree with most of the other reviews where people compliment the staff of the Econo Lodge for their friendliness and attention. They are the best part of the stay. It would appear the hotel is giving itself up to being a long term stay facility. There seemed to be a dog in every room. Once you get past the lobby, the whole building is very run down. Our room leaked fluids from the ceiling. Peeling paint. Chewed up doors. If you are in town for an overnight stay, I'd advise you to go somewhere else.

No heater , no comfy blanket , no water bottles in the room . Very old motel , need renovation & need new stuff . Should have less 90bucks or else I suggest try & explore better hotels . Night staff person was good but he helped a lot find a better room for stay with fine heat .

You never gave me a hot tub altho i wanted one. You said because I had booked on expedia no changes were allowed I wanted to add another day and that was all vetoed. Anyway I would come back if you gave me a deal the week of 24th to 31st January 2026. Please advise. 1 519 589 3825

The beds are warped and hard The room was freezing cold Bathroom water did not run properly Room door was extremly hard to open

It was beyond run down. Dirty...paint off walls, stains on bedding, broken hairdryer and clothes hangers piled above closet. Outside door is exit only. Bathroom faucet was busted, had to wrestle to get water. Been there twice...first and last.

Ample parking. Clean room. Delightful front desk staff.

The rooms are decent but the smell of cleaning chemicals was prevalent and a bit strong. Also the lady tried to yell at me and throw me out of the hotel for sitting on the arm of the couch that was in the lobby. She had no uniform and was being loud and almost aggressive towards me. i

Parking was great, staff was friendly . Beds and room were clean but overall very run down. Hallways and rooms smelled of smoke despite being nonsmoking

Cheap and cheerful. Staff were so nice, room was very clean, just older and worn, but nothing broken and again, clean! Beds were good too. Breakfast is super basic but Tim Hortons is right there anyway! Not a bad spot at all for a good price and a sleep

was booked for a event, now mind you when events happen the room rates go up too, but over all, was happy with the room, it filled our needs to a T. And may I add, the resturant accross the Street "Theo's" is the best in Orillia. But Getting back to Hotel/Motel, if your not looking for a 5 star place, and you want a clean comfortable place to stay, I would recommend.

The rooms are clearly dated. The area outside our room was a mess with garbage all around. It almost looked like wellfare people were living there. The walls are paper thin as are the windows. A huge overhaul is necessary and I would not return. The only saving grace was the young girl who checked us in, although she's not responsible for the maintenance and upgrades needed to make this a "hotel" again. Somewhat disappointing, expected a little more

Clean, affordable and polite staff

I have never stayed in such a filthy place. From the entrance, hallway and my room. The furniture was dated ruined and dirty. I would suggest to take this one off your list

Room was very messy. Garbage and debris everywhere. Building all together in rough shape. Beds not made

The complimentary breakfast was coffee, juice, toast or a bagel. The room is tired, "rode hard and put away wet". Stay away!!!!

The staff was welcoming and accommodating to us when we checked in and out. However, the room is in desperate need of renovating. The hall door has a serious issue with out of alignment and took a vigorous push to open. The carpet was pulling away from the wall and coming apart along the edges. I have never seen an extension cord that is plugged into the wall and run behind the carpet baseboard. I believe that alone constitutes a fire hazard. The wallpaper was coming away at the seams and there were very poor repairs made where pictures had been hung and the plaster work above the bathroom sink. The occasional chair beside the bed was filthy and the seam along the arm was threadbare. I have no idea what the stuffing in the pillows was, but very lumpy. However, the bathroom was clean.

TV doesn’t work, garbage behind the dresser, slow internet, comfort from the 60’s Supposed to be a smoke free room but cigarette butt on floor. For the cost of the room we are very disappointed. Garbage in the hallway Back door of motel isn’t locked Anyone can walk in. Luckily Staff are friendly

Stayed one night, place was unsanitary and needed to be deep cleaned. Room was not clean when we got there and told the front desk that were to correct it when we were out and on arrival back at hotel everything was filthy. Asked for a full refund.
